If you decide on the one suite you could lay your clothes out the night before. Then if you're up early, you can quietly dress and leave the cabin. Being up alone very early is a magical time to wander about and take pics of the sunrise, etc.

I pack foil packets of sun screen and bug repellent wipes. Don't need to put them in the quart baggie. If I need more, I buy it along the way.

If you need to buy sunscreen, etc in St Maarten, I would ask where a good place to buy it is, at my hotel.

Perhaps you or a neighbor has a needle and thread. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes to stitch it up.

I would assume it's gone forever and I would apply for a new one.
On the off chance someone finds it, maybe they will mail it to the address on the license.

Call me weird, but I would just send information that I am comfortable sharing. Let the spreadsheet have a few blank cells!

There is a great visitor center with helpful park rangers and printed maps.

My daughter lives in the Conejo valley. She was always complaining about the rabbits eating everything in her garden. I told her to look at what conejo means in Spanish. Lol!

We love balconies but more to sit on and relax.
It's been my experience that at least half the time what you want to see is on the other side of the ship - lol! For sightseeing while cruising, the best place is somewhat you have access to both sides at once like on one of the upper decks where you can walk from side to side.

Gifts could be signed from Captain Hook or the character Johnny Depp played in Pirates of the Caribbean or Black Bart or other famous pirates?

I'm sorry but I don't remember except that it was not expensive. It was a number of years ago. All I remember was that one of the places we visited was a waterfall. While there, a snake fell out of a tree onto a lady that was part of a tour group. There was a lot of screaming but no one was hurt - lol!

We took the ferry at the tender dock to Oia and then the bus up to the town. We wandered a bit and then started on the seaside trail back to Fira. We gave up halfway - gorgeous hike along the ocean but a lot of ups and downs - and caught a local bus back to Fira. We wandered around for a bit and took the cable car back down. A lovely and invigorating day!

Be a bit careful. We were quoted a price for the morning cab ride and when we were finished the cab driver claimed that was the per person cost. DH just laughed and gave him the original agreed upon price. The cabbie grumbled but accepted what we gave him.

Florid,
If I were you I would just enter the information I feel comfortable sharing and leave the other questions blank.

We took a cab. Go early if you can as they get crowded later. Tour busses were just arriving as we were leaving.

You could always rent a car in Miami with a drop off at FLL. Tour the area and put your luggage in the trunk. Then in the evening, drop the car off at FLL.

We hired a taxi at the port and had a list of places we wanted to visit. You probably can arrange a private tour beforehand or book a ship's tour as well.

I you cannot find a shirt with long sleeves that are not too long for you, you might contact a dry cleaner in your area as they sometimes do alterations. I often have to shorten pants but that is easy for me. If you can't shorten pants, you can probably find a friend or professional to do it.

we've only booked a couple of cruises before final payment. i actually was confused when the travel agent told me i didn't have to pay in full at time of booking. i would guess we book most cruises from 2 to 4 months out.

I don't share your problem, but I have seen very lightweight clothing at sporting goods stores that claim to block out the sun's rays. You can probably find them on Amazon or other online sites as well.

I almost always post my email addy on the roll call since we are usually asking to see if there are any geocachers aboard or if there is anyone who would like to tour with us.
I have also occasionally shared a precruise hotel if there is a precruise dinner planned.

There are some credit cards like the Chase Explorer card that have some travel insurance if you pay with it. They will cover cancellations for family members with a valid reason. If you want medical or evacuation insurance you will have to buy it.

We have found European airlines to be extremely arbitrary when it comes to carry on luggage. Even though our carry ons always are below the size and weight limits imposed by the airline, we have had to gate check them a couple of times. The last time this happened, the gal sitting next to us had the exact same bag in the overhead. Go figure!
