  1. Thanks, then again when I was born, where I have lived and my life experiences and exposures, there are not too many things, in this realm (cruising), which will ruffle my feathers or move me to 'overt' action that many advocate about such things over which we do have control and/or can help to promulgate change, immediately and for the long run or just move on. I have ruffled a few Officers feathers on several sailings about items which IMO deserved better attention by them immediately... once achieved, I just return to one of my favourite hangouts and relish the time on the seas or take a tour when we hit a port... Yet, generally, I Am very chill when on an X ship, to be sure. bon voyage
  2. Well, I might be just a tad of a "cheerleader" for X, yet those changes or removals do not affect me, as I Am vegan and have customized meals at dinner... so my menu is usually never reduced... only reduced if the ingredients are not aboard... Yet I do understand the upset and concern... just not mine, currently. bon appetit and bon voyage
  3. Yes, there are "coolers" in the cabins, if there is a special med which requires low temperatures, let Miami know so they can place the proper unit in the cabin OR ask the room attendant upon embarkation. bon voyage
  4. Thanks dk - was in the middle of drinking a very nice cab when writing that post.... LOL Cheers and bon voyage
  5. I think so.... at least as a mediator!!! LOL bon voyage
  6. If so many people are in their face, they can get food along the sailing from somewhere.... OR move some of the food supplies from the MDR to accommodate. So it is not all that impossible if there are many complaints real time, they would make something happen, regardless of the pre-planning and provisioning... bon appetit and bon voyage
  7. Well, that would be a bit difficult as there are no "state's attorney general's" in the UK.... bon voyage
  8. LOL - seems like an incarnation from a previous poster with same issue... Could this be one in the same poster under new moniker??? bon voyage
  9. Okay, okay rumor or not... Once aboard, it is easy enough to get a group together and corner the F&B Manager or even better The Captain, about the issue and I Am sure they would reverse course immediately... Especially if they believed they would be put on the grill for chow time.... when there was nothing else!!! Issue resolved. Next... bon appetit and bon voyage
  10. Did you write it up on the survey??? More importantly, did you notify the OVC Manager and the F&B Manager about the less than spectacular challenges??? If so, what was their response? bon appetit and bon voyage
  11. mark thank you for the info... I have only been sailing X for nine (9) years and never encountered the policy on either alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages... We brought our wine, two (2) bottles per cabin upon embarkation, at that time, now it is two (2) bottles per cabin permitted, Cheers and bon voyage
  12. There is nor ever any limit, beyond reasonable, quantities of of soda or water which one can bring aboard... It is generally accepted that one will bring aboard what they can carry although often times a porter will check it for, if they choose to. You have found, in the past, a policy statement about this on X's website??? Interesting to say the least. Cheers and bon voyage
  13. I can concur with this approach, yet for those of us who get spooked by such issues we can cancel immediately and book another line in order to 'potentially' avoid the situation... instead of only promulgating it. True or not, personally, it would not affect my sailing X in the least... either we work with it or around it or move on as we may not like it... bon voyage
  14. I would love to see the uniform you would don... LOL bon voyage El Capitan!!!
  15. Not even if they let you command the ship??? bon voyage
  16. While it would not cause us to elsewhere (read: spouse would not permit it!!!), it means that I would have to "bribe" the state room attendant for our twice daily service.... OR threaten them with a poor review if they do not!!! LOL In cleanliness (pampering) and bon voyage
  17. Personally, I do prefer a new towel everyday and as such, that is my responsibility here at home. If I want it everyday, I must launder them everyday... yet I only need to do towel laundry every other week as I have enough towels to go that long! LOL In cleanliness and bon voyage
  18. Not sure what the 'real' problem is here.... Did you not mean to pay for the flights? If not, what is the reason you used a CC at the website??? If the problem is that X does not see the transaction, you certainly have enough information (i.e. transaction #) from your CC company to provide X to trace/tack down. Please clarify, at least for me, the problem, please. bon voyage
  19. For this you can do this once onboard.... that will be best... bon appetit and bon voyage
  20. Yes, with this action they will know you have status and not the type you would be exclaiming, at the time though... LOL Cheers and bon voyage
  21. LOL - you were "... made to ... to take out the trash" only this week??? Heck that is worth an automatic upgrade regardless... LOL, I have to take it out every week, I trade with you!!!! Cheers and bon voyage
  22. z I had learned since my spouse and I started cruising, together, that it is best to upgrade both at the same time regardless of the financial cost as the the 'psychological' cost daily would far outweigh the financial... LOL Cheers and bon voyage
  23. I, for one, cannot wait to read your take on the sailing... bon voyage
  24. Don't explain at all, he will find out day one!!! LOL (as you are having your dom and caviar and smiling wildly...) Cheers and bon voyage
