  1. Words I never hope my budget will make me say "What in the Carnival is going on here" 😅🤣😂 if we got unintentially dosed on our trip I'd be upset too, smoke of any kind (cigarette, vape, dope, fire, etc...) is not good for ones lungs or overall health and has the potential to trigger worse issues for those with pre exisitng conditions putting a hamper on ones vacay.
  2. And this is precisely why I travel with snacks to last a day or three, one must be prepared. . . . I will also add that we were on one of the first cruises to be denied port right as covid started to become what it became and the Captain of the Meraviglia at the time communicated the who, what, where, when and why to the best of his abilities, provided compensation and staff were delightful despite the stress and unknown that was brewing.
  3. All this reminds me of Joe Vs. the Volcano and the fact that I might need to travel with more luggage...
  4. Thanks for the responses and ideas! In my brain I was thinking about when we do snorkleing excursions they always had little cubby's or lockers for things and was just wondering about the Caye.
  5. Been reading through as many of these and couldn't find an answer so forgive me if it has been posted. Is there a place to safely store your things on the Ocean Caye if you say your entire party wants to go snorkling or swimming and you do not get the cabana? In other words do they offer lockers or someplace to put your stuff? or if you have loungers is it pretty safe leaving while you go on adventures?
  6. this is good to know because if on a cruise come between me and my shrimps (cocktail or otherwise) I will play that card.
  7. OP "The end result was that my child had a 3 dessert lunch, but that’s what vacation is for" Isn't that the truth! Several of my onboard meals consist of shrimp cocktail after shrimp cocktail after shrimp cocktail. Really enjoying your posts and those dresses are fantastic!
  8. I concur! we do not have nearly as many voyages under our belt, but when we started cruising we listed out our wants vs needs and it really does help.
  9. I am going to add this to my list of proposed, but never acted on 'Performance Pieces' working title, 'Chopin doesn't want you here either, the dance of the interloppers'
  10. We were on the Meraviglia right before Covid in this suite. Room 12007 We enjoyed it but wouldn't book that room again - the hot tub did not heat properly so we used it once or twice but not how we'd imagined it, because of the location (bow) there was a lot of wind, which did not help. I will say though overall the then perks of Aurea were pretty great. here is a link to my review with pictures https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=679753 While the room was nice, we decided to upgrade and try YC for our next cruise. Good Luck!
  11. Pre Covid - I got the fun pass for my husband husband- it was a flat fee and allowed my husband to play any of the video games, formula racer and the 4d theater It was tied to his card/wristband but they did allow me to also do the 4d theater a couple of times. He seemed to enjoy the video games, bikes and formula 1 I do not know if there is a monetary limit tied to the pass or if it just allows unlimited play - because he just used it the whole week without issues. Hope this helps
  12. @Radio Thank you for such a great review and posting of everything... Its been really informative and filling in a lot of blanks regarding ports, but hands down that chocolate and gelato bar, wowzers!
  13. It can confirm it works in other languages as well! Looking forward to reading your review and happy sailing!!!!
  14. @morpheusofthesea I was wondering if you could find out if the Seascape provides Chai Tea Latte (liquid starbucks mix) and RumChatta in YC or any of the other bars
  15. well now i am thinking i could turn it into a performance piece and my husband is saying please don't encourage her.
  16. I was planning on doing it for fun... and the chance to don long gloves
  17. Well I was thinking of my formal caftan, but now I might have to go whole fancy dress
  18. I can not wait to have my butler escort me down to gen pop to try out this wine dispenser... the only question is what outfit shall i wear for the occassion.
  19. We were on the Meraviglia pre Covid- the shows in the carousel where Cirque du Soliel - and very good, the drinks were mass made pick up as you go to your seat and not very good, but part of the "package" We found that the early show time was the best in regards to seating - we had second row for our Cirque show for a mere $18/pp, the later seating we had not great seats in the back where they did the dinner and show. The shows were worth the extra cost and we decided if we ever get back to this ship or one with the carousel theater we plan to do again but get drinks to bring in rather than take the ones offered.
  20. Right before Covid, we did MSC non yacht club and really enjoyed it - we had booked an aurea suite and enjoyed the perks that came with it (thermal spa access, room service) The big qualm I saw in reviews that we read when researching were people (US) were not used to a more european line, but we didn't mind. Foodwise there were always good options and we had fun on the ship.
  21. while I can get the tuxedo on the cat, I could not get him to applaud you know cats....
  22. Enjoying reading this thread and seeing all of your tips/tricks. This will be our second MSC cruise and first in the YC so I'm taking notes (don't cruise till November) Glad we are not the only folks that go for a 'Bailey's Service' Love that we can request an afternoon snack/beverage in our cabin as well as hot tea at night. One of my favorite things about cruising is just relaxing on the balcony listening to the ocean *** I do have question, can anyone tell me if they have Chai Tea available? (this is my husbands go to beverage and I'm trying to see if they have it or if we can somehow sneak it on so that its there)
