  1. On celebrity it’s Effy. I don’t go to the port shopping talks, but they do send flyers with the daily schedule for people who are interested.
  2. Try Celebrity or Royal Caribbean. I don’t think other people will care if you are solo on a cruise. You can share a dining table if you want to eat with others. There were 3 other solos and 2 couples at my dining table. I had a great time. My solo was on Royal Caribbean from Baltimore. I think there were quite a few frequent solo cruisers on board who work remotely from the ship.
  3. I always stay at the renaissance marina. It’s close to the port.
  4. That sounds easy. How far in advance did you make your testing reservation? Have a great cruise!
  5. Sounds like an interesting option. I just checked out their web site. If you do multiple tests at one time, do you pay 1 fee or two? Are the government tests that were sent in the mail acceptable? Can you take the test immediately after paying? I'm thinking I might do this if CVS cancels my test at the last minute like they did last cruise.
  6. So cool! I was on the same sailing. Love the super moon lighting up the sea.
  7. Last week they had a shortage of crown Royal and decoy wine. Some bars had a hidden bottle. Makers mark was available.
  8. Bring a light sweater. Some areas of the ship are cool, but I’d rather put on a sweater than be sweating inside.
  9. It definitely depends on the ship. On infinity last week, people with shorts were turned away on night 1. I saw it happening all week. One group was saying they didn’t receive their luggage. Not sure if they ended up getting in or not.
  10. Had a great time as well and enjoyed the sunny weather!
  11. On infinity this week, shorts were not allowed in the dining room.
  12. When I was in that location before, there was not noise.
  13. Sounds like it’s time for testing to be eliminated.
  14. Have a great cruise! Will be sailing on infinity in July.
  15. I agree with you. It’s the reason I’m not visiting Bermuda this year.
  16. That’s still the way to do it. Try using a different web browser.
  17. Do you have to ship the bag to them or do they pay for shipping? Shipping is expensive now.
  18. If you took out a travel policy, it may cover luggage damage. I put in a claim after one of my trips and received a check to replace my suitcase.
  19. If you do it when you first board the ship, you’re probably connected to the cell tower on land.
  20. Alaska was the only cruise that I used my balcony much. In the early morning, we could see whales spouting water in the distance. We often book inside cabins because we like to spend our time out on the deck. It’s nice being on the deck because you can walk from side to side so you don’t miss any of the scenery or wildlife. If you book an inside, I’m sure you will still have a great experience.
  21. Do you use the regular internet package or the faster one?
  22. Be sure to try it ahead of time. I had to have Verizon make an adjustment to allow WiFi calling on my device. You can test it from home.
  23. Call early in the day so you won’t be on hold as long.
  24. Definitely get a balcony. Lots to see sailing the inside passage. I spent most of my day on the balcony. Take a helicopter ride that lands on a glacier. Pretty amazing!
