  1. On the 6/24 reflection cruise, I noticed the same thing, but kept my standard of dress going 👗. It was our teen daughter’s first cruise and we told her “Don’t worry about what other people are wearing. It is better to be dressed nicely than to be underdressed”. To note - we had three chic nights for a 10-day and were only expecting 2. After spending a week in Rome before the cruise, my daughter and I began to run out of outfits. We had an impromptu fashion makeover in our cabin where we were trying on outfits, trying to figure out what to wear, and she put on one of my white dresses that was so big on her, it was dragging on the ground. She declared herself “The greek goddess of Opus” and we are still calling her that to this day! ☺️ We loved Opus and ate there every single night. Service was excellent!! Ask to sit in one of Arsapha’s tables. He makes you feel like royalty, Enjoy every moment! ❤️
  2. My only advice on using the emed test is to have a back up plan in place. We purchased the 3 pack for ourselves and our daughter to use before our med cruise in Rome in June. My husband and my test went fine. When my daughter opened her box on the video call, the kit was completely missing the test strip and instead had two swabs. They were unable to complete the test and we then were left scrambling to find a test site. Our concierge pointed us to a local pharmacy but they were closed for testing for the day and we had to wait the night to complete the test. Emed offered to overnight us a test to our home but we were in Rome so not much help .
  3. No, I had concerns about bringing a child of any age on Celebrity. My concerns were age appropriate, but they are along the same lines as OP…will there be enough for them to do, will we like it, how will celebrity cater to my child, what do they offer children. I spent way too much time worrying beforehand. Just disembarked last Monday so the experience is fresh in my mind. Very happy we had the family experience.
  4. Go on the cruise with your child and enjoy. It takes very little to entertain a 3-4 year old. We just took our 16-year-old on a Mediterranean cruise on the reflection and I went through all the same worries that you did. The crew was amazing with her. She didn’t really participate that much at the camp at Sea program but she did some things and even just dancing around to the music in board was fun for her. For you, when children are that young they don’t necessarily need other kids on board to be entertained. As for Royal Caribbean, I find it hard to believe that a child that young would be participating in the huge waterslides and climbing walls that they have on board. It is your vacation, too. That said, i’m a strong believer in mom and dad getting away by themselves occasionally. If you have someone to stay with them then great. If not, bring them along and have the time of your life.
  5. Hi Terry, Sounds like a Great trip. Which one is your favorite cruise line out of the ones that you mentioned? Just out if curiosity, why will this be your last cruise with Hal? we just disembarks the reflection yesterday from a 10 day Italy, Montenegro, Greece cruise from Rome. Loved the ship. The crew was fantastic. We did a similar itinerary with Holland America before the pandemic and we really liked the Holland America shore excursions much better than the celebrity. Of course, it is a completely different world now post pandemic and I’m taking that into consideration. We just thought we might go back to HAL next time. No no comparison on the night life with HAL and celebrity though because celebrity definitely does the evening so much better than HAL. Also, much younger vibe to the ship. Thought you might have better insight since you are headed to HAL. Thanks!
  6. So we ordered three test kits and the last one that we used, our daughters, was missing the sample collection plate 😭 We brought it over 4,000 miles to Rome and now we have to scramble around tomorrow to go to the local pharmacy. Emed offered to send a replacement test to our home. 😕 The show must go on …
