  1. Just did when I read your first post...still $62.99, but I think it'll be worth it. We paid $58.99 2 years ago for the Beach Club day pass and I felt it was well spent.
  2. Your pic of the hammock is exactly my strategy for where we want to be, almost to the Jazz bar
  3. Thank goodness that won't be a problem in September...we'll be roasting even in the pool or ocean. Last March I couldn't even stick my toe in the Lagoon pool, we spent a whole hour and walked back to ship.
  4. Ours has never budged from the lower price of $62.99 for September Icon and I check it every day
  5. I fill travel bottles with shampoo/conditioner but use the body wash aboard...not that picky I guess, but don't want large bottes with me.
  6. Years ago we spread our RCCL wings on a Carni Ecstacy cruise which was glaringly horrid, filthy ship, terrible service and swore off them for good. That's never happened on Royal. But we just booked a Voyager B2B with Carnival Jubilee in a couple weeks and I'm honestly excited about giving them another try. This newest ship is eerily similar to Icon. Luckily I'm not a very picky cruiser, just happy to be at sea again.
  7. Glad this is just YOUR opinion, Haven't had a bad cruise yet, but I guess that depends on your outlook on life.
  8. I watched JJ Cruise' review this morning...and it is excellent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhmds4WUPGw
  9. We always book at least a year out to get better pricing and also mostly September, again to get better pricing during Hurricane season, but we need Sept. of 2026 and it's not there yet...LOL
  10. Tried but no can do, schedule isn't out far enough for us.
  11. We loved our Giovanni's lunch on Odyssey, it was so nice to just go right and sit and eat after boarding, no lines and great food. We'll do it again, in fact have booked lunch in Izumi Hibachi table on Icon.
  12. Good enough for most meds. BTW I put the whole ice bucket in our "cooler", that works pretty good to keep the ice from melting. I get ice every day from our steward.
  13. I just got a reply with the slate of entertainers for my Voyager next month using the second addie I gave you. SO it works! web_reservations@ rccl.com
  14. OMG I flipped out...my whole family would want to go. Thanks, fabulous..live long and prosper!
  15. You used to be able to email RCCL directly to: cleyva@rccl.com or web_reservations@rccl.com and ask just who the entertainers are, haven't done this in many years so don't know if it will work.
  16. No they don't have to sail at all, original owner can be a no show.
  17. Icon is showing the Empire Club sold out four our Sept. sailing and it just appeared on our App, how could it be sold out that far in advance so soon...I know the seating is limited but I'm very disappointed. I may call about it since I came on this thread.
  18. The balances will not be the same between those choices. I believe it would be better to do the first option. You can always change the names but your amounts will be correct. We have a similar situation coming up on Icon. Our second daughter just got pregnant and will not be able to go, so were scrounging for another couple so we can keep the same rez and payment amounts which are much lower than current pricing. We'll find someone who wants them and then change the names.
  19. I beg to disagree, but the restaurant mgr gave us one to entice us in the first night of cruise, it's been a while, but it was on Liberty.
  20. That's where I met my pink Octopus (upper area clutching a shell) and I was hoping I could get to the inlets in Hideaway, but guess not. I want to be in between area 48 and 45 on your map and thx for the map too.
  21. Yep sure did back in October along with the newer Pneumonia plus regular flu. I know these vaccines are iffy, but better have them than not. I had all the Covid shots and never had it though my hubs and brother etc all had covid.
  22. The original for our ICON was $89 but I got it on sale for 62.99 pp. The newer and bigger the ship the more all things cost. But I'm happy to pay that, can't wait.
  23. Well at 74 your story did make me reconsider travel insurance and also that maybe our cruising days are almost over. I got the RSV on Allure last September on our 5th day. Made it home with no ship clinic visit (I thought it was allergies) and then spent 4 months getting over it and the side effects. That one is a doozie! Pray your Mom overcomes Pneumonia or whatever she has, it can happen, it did to my MIL, she is still with us after her hospice in 2021.
  24. The only thing I worry about is the noise from the DJ. So our plan is to get loungers at the other end towards the Jazz Rock place or whatever it's called. Hoping we can hear some of that rather than blaring heavy metal or rap music. And there are some hammocks over there....hope you had a chance to see the whole area. Also interested in whether one could snorkel over by where the openings in the coral are to let in the sea...always good critters in coral! But I think I saw buoys with netting to prevent that.
  25. Of course they changed it all again when they made Tavern, very plain now. Chahuly.MP4
