  1. Just spoke with Princess rep. I could pick any future 7 day Mexico cruise. I could choose a date or they would keep it in a folder for me for "later". I wanted to sail in the next three weeks due to work scheduling. That left the 18th and 25th. The cabins offered, deluxe balcony and balcony, were not in desirable locations to me. Some on the Marina deck were under the pool and/or Horizon Court. I'm just going to keep my sailing. She did say the Sip & Sail promo would have been moved over with my booking.

  2. I use the app MyFitnessPal! It integrates with MapMyRun where I can log my workouts. However, a new feature of MFP is "Workout Routines" where you can log your movements. I haven't tried it yet. A few of us are on MFP and have linked up. If you choose I am JennyB_1977.

  3. Happy New Year!!! I had a small loss but am not where I wanted to be. I've had some great workouts this past week and am overall feeling healthy. I am liking the way my clothes fit. I am supposed to leave tomorrow for my cruise on Saturday but received a move over offer from Princess. I am waiting for a call back to verify the details. If I accept, I may not be cruising until the 18th or 25th.

  4. Cheers! is a BEVERAGE PACKAGE. If you don't think it's worth it for you and your traveling companions, by all means don't buy it. If you think you'd drink enough bottled water, soda, specialty coffees, energy drinks, milkshakes and yes alcohol then purchase away.

The judgmental tones by both sides of this topic are harsh. One is not simply an alcoholic or forced to drink because they have chosen to take advantage of a product that includes alcoholic beverages. Those that choose not to purchase the package are not necessarily boring, cheap, teetotalers.

Getting your money's worth on Cheers! is not simply about alcohol. It's about the total package. It includes alcohol. It's not just alcohol.

It's certainly appropriate to answer whether you regret purchasing it or not and why. But the continued speculation and judgment on the drinking habits of others is ridiculous.

I drink, I'm sure based on the tone here that some would assume, based on my drinking habits, that I'm some sloppy drunk that can't remember my evenings. Nothing could be further from the truth. We all handle and enjoy alcohol differently. I do so responsibly and hope others do as well.

    Happy Cruising!

  5. Are we talking just the cash portion? There was another thread where people discussed how much money you should have access to when traveling (think hospitalization, your luggage goes missing, etc.). If you are simply talking cash. If most everything is prepaid and you are planning to put the meals you mentioned on a CC. Then $50/day CASH should suffice. However, like I said you need to clarify that you mean money = cash. I never recommend vacationing when you don't have access to funds in case of emergency.

  6. 7 hours ago, Ringlet said:

"BUT they have also said that the trouble is only with our cabin and said we must be putting items in the toilet that shouldn't be flushed."

"Believe me when I say that I know how to use a cruise ship toilet, and what is happening now is INSANE.  We have not put anything in the toilet other than what should be allowed, and the only thing the crew can think to do is lecture us on what not to do!! "

Hi Ringlet - I feel for you. I just want to clarify you say other than what "should be" allowed. The only things to go in the commode are #1, #2, vomit and the ship provided toilet paper. Are those the only things you are putting in the toilet? I am just confused by your use of "should be".

  7. I don't always do one or the other. I research the options offered by the cruise line and private options. Once in Cozumel I booked Nachi Cocom. That was based on advice from this board and another travel advice site. On my upcoming cruise I booked through the cruise line because it was an interesting (at least to me) excursion with good reviews and the price was "right". There are also times I don't book an excursion and simply wander around. I will be doing this on my stop in Mazatlan.

  8. @XBGuy Your look at the dark side has been considered and if it were to happen, you're correct I'd just switch to CC. I will report back. I'm resigned to just leaving my CC on file, yet I may go to GS and ask about a cash account. I keep seeing horror stories about billing issues with CCs and I have no interest in dealing with any of that. That's why I prepay everything that is possible. I'd like to #comebacknew and not #comebackwithCCissues LOL

  9. I was there on Navigator in September. It seemed empty with just our ship there. Navigator holds about 3,300 passengers. Could have been the weather also as it was chilly and rainy, so folks may have stayed on board. There are lots of different areas for people to disburse.

I would guess the walk from the ship to the entrance was just over 1/4 mile. I posted a video of my walk from the entrance to the Oasis Lagoon in my review (link in signature).

  10. I will not be up against my limit. Nor, will I be using a debit card or secured credit card. It's a cash rewards bank issued credit card. I simply like to be prepared and don't like surprises when it comes to money. I am single, one income and am probably over analytical when it comes to my finances. Think an excel workbook for each year with tabs for each month, transactions are color coded and I reconcile daily....🤦‍♀️

I appreciate those that have taken the time to weigh in! Happy Holidays all 🙂

  11. I searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. I would like to verify what I was told by 2 Princess Customer Service representatives. I input a CC in order to be "Ocean Ready". I have prepaid gratuities, have the drinks package, have already paid for excursions, etc. My onboard account shouldn't have any charges. Both reps told me when I arrive on the ship to head to GS and ask to have my account set to cash. That I won't be required to put any cash on the account if I don't plan on using it to charge. They also said there will be no hold placed on the credit card I have already input. Can anyone please verify that I will NOT have to deposit cash into my account?

  12. It appears that Priority boarding is only for those weddings taking place on embarkation day!   https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5070/~/wedding-package-faqs

"At what time do my wedding guests and I need to be at the port?
Priority boarding is provided for couples being married the day of embarkation, once the ship is cleared by U.S. Customs. Arrival time for wedding guests is usually 10:30am for most ports. These times are provided with embarkation instructions through our Wedding Department based on the sailing port. You must be at the pier at the time indicated by your Wedding Planner for priority boarding. Please be prompt. Couples getting married later in the cruise will follow general boarding procedures."

What is the difference between the types of Carnival weddings?
    1) An Embarkation Wedding takes place on the ship before your cruise begins, so you can celebrate with family and friends who are not sailing with you. 2) A Wedding At Sea requires that all guests sail with you, since it takes place on the ship, at sea. 3) An Onboard Destination Wedding is offered aboard the ship while it’s docked in a particular port. 4) A Destination Venue Wedding happens off the ship, either on a beach or a similarly beautiful location.
