  1. Absolute rubbish about the water pressure on turn around day. There is no maintenance on the water system that would cause low water pressure. Unlike your home, where the water sits in the lines, pressurized, until you open a tap to use it, the water on the ship is constantly recirculating from the tank, through the ship and back to the tank, so the pump is always providing the same pressure. And this is the worst day to have any maintenance or repair to the water system, since the cabin stewards need water to service the cabins, the laundry is starting to wash all the linens, etc., so water demand is high.

Always Good Info from you , we are doing B2B On Sensation Dec 6 and 10 out of Port Canaveral. Thanks

  2. Even if we lived near a port, I would never go on a short 3 or 4 day cruise.

We like peace and quiet when we cruise -- don't want to be around a bunch of party people.

We are the party people that your mother warned you about. We take short cruises every year with a group of family and friends. We have had as many as 30 in our group. We book early and send out the date, and the shortness of it ensures that many can fit it into their lives without infringing on their own longer vacations. We dance and drink and sing and carry on like most of the other passengers on this Booze Cruise. We always find a party at the main pool, and leave the quite pool to those who want to relax. So everyone can have the cruise they want.

  3. A word about packing and dressing for dinner. Nudists pack ALOT. On the Carnival Legend BNTT Cruise, the ship announced that this trip they broke a record for the MOST luggage that they ever handled.

At dinner, dress was always More formal then a regular cruise, thou more sexy/classy for the ladies. On formal night Tux's were very common.

Nudist are CLEAN people, when your naked all day you tend to shower often. And why not, its easy when nude.

Nudist are GOOD tippers and LESS demanding of the crew. Many have heard this from crew members themselves.

At night 75 to 80% are dressed ,but a small number of passengers will NEVER get dressed all week. The eat at the buffet and pack in a carry on.

To use the expression that is used by many other groups 'If I had to explain it , you wouldn't understand' But our 'Clothing Optional Cruises' (optional because you Don't have to be nude) are the best by far.

  4. YES! We are on the Miracle, which has been chartered by a private group February 5th-14th, 2017, sailing from Tampa. Its a Bare Necessities Clothing Optional Cruise. We do a Big Boat Nude Cruise every year. We have done these cruises on HAL, Royal, Celebrity and Carnival.

  5. U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced beginning in 2016, changes concerning Cruises to Nowhere will be made so these short sailings into international waters without calling at any ports will no longer be allowed.

D-1 visa holders are no longer eligible to work as crewmembers on Cruises to Nowhere. This means that the only way for Cruises to Nowhere to continue is for the lines to employ an entirely American crew for each vessel doing a CTN.

  6. We have never touched a robe in over 20 cruises. I don't use one at home and not at sea. Maybe because we are warm weather cruisers.

PS don't wear them outside your cabin please. I know , its a free country and you can do what you want, but I did ask nicely.

    Happy Cruising!

  7. When SW opened their flights on 5-14-15, I was right on top of it. When I first checked early in the morning they were NOT open, a half hour later they were. While looking over their flights the NY-ISP to MCO flight went up from $115 to $130. I quickly booked it. When I checked back the same day it was up to $159, then later $197. This is all in the same day. That's crazy, and a good reason to book early and hope the price comes down , we can always re book and get the credit.

  8. On every cruise, I get up early and have coffee at the buffet. I also take a plate from the buffet to the cabin for DW almost every morning. It is a standing joke on the ships that I work room service in the mornings and I do it because I enjoy it. Since this has been going on for several years and over 50 cruises, I do not intend to change even if it means changing cruise lines.

This is me as well (but only 20 cruises, we're working on it), my wife take a little longer to get ready in the morning than I do, so off I go. And she's happy to have me out of the way, and return with hot coffee and a little something to eat. I might add that the 'little something' is usually wrong.:)

  9. But it is so easy to maneuver and handle.

We tried a set of spinners once. The wheels are so small that they don't roll on carpet only on hard floors.

We also only get maybe three trips before they are trashed. We don't buy the good stuff any more, it breaks almost as quick as the cheap stuff.

We also don't buy 'sets' anymore. We don't see the sense in using the small or mid size bag anymore, the airlines charge as much as the LARGE bag. For us its 2 large bags and a small carry on.

  10. Clothes do serve a purpose, don't they. But for material covered seats....

Nudists are generally very clean people. Showering is very easy when you don't have to undress and get dressed again. The rules are ALWAYS sit on a towel and they are in great supply all over the ship. Don't knock it till you have tried it. The Best Cruises, always.

Saw that episode of myth busters. It actually worked quite well.

I learned in lifesaving class that the pants can be inflated by holding them at the waistband and then starting from behind your head, quickly 'slap' them onto the water in front of you and then crimp the waist band closed. We practiced this in the water and it works quite well.
