  1. But this is not how the buffet line is supposed to work. You are meant to walk up to the thing you want then walk away. You are not meant to stand in front of counter you are not getting food and block access to it. Often if you walk to the back of the buffet there is no one using those counters, everyone blindly starts queuing at the first counter they see?.

Sure if there are people waiting at omelet or carvery, wait your turn. But if there no one at counter just walk up to, if people are blocking access to counter they are not using politely say I'm just taking whatever, I think it is lot more inconsiderate for people to block access to counters they are not using and it they used the buffet as should be used, it would flow much better.

    This is SPOT ON !

  2. We just sailed Silhouette Nov 29th and found 'Broadway Nights' to be among the best shows at sea. The singers , dancers and live band were top notch. In the Grand Foyer the Latin band was great fun and we danced a lot. The other house band was also good, with a good variety of music.

My only let down was the lack of day time music by the pool. The band took longer to set up , then they played (each less than an hour, and not every day)

We did a B2B by driving to Port Canaveral and boarding Carnival Sensation, which had almost NO live music, only a solo acoustic guitar. And their Show '88 Keys' was an embarrassment. The Punchliner Comedy Club was VERY Funny.

Well you get what you pay for!

  3. STAY AWAY! Take a regular taxi! We purchased tickets to take the water ferry or water taxi.. whatever it is called at 1:50. We got on the boat just outside the pier and waited...

We were told it would leave in 20 minutes and goes every half hour. So there we sat from just before 2 until after 3pm. At that point we finally all started demanding refunds and all wanted off the boat since it was clear he was not leaving until he filled the boat!!! There were 2 locals, both having car problems begging him to leave since they were late for work and due there at 3 pm. They arrived at 3:30pm... This guy would not refund tickets and did not care! He just kept wondering away and said we would leave in a minute... from 2:20- until 3 when he finally bowed to the pressure and left the dock to ferry us to the boat area at the Atlantis. There were about 16 of us on the boat but that was not worth the trip to him....He cursed us... but took us.

When we did finally arrive at the Atlantis, it is still a 10+ minute walk to the hotel from where the boat leaves you off... We were lucky that the 2 local girls were available to walk us all since it was not clear or marked well which way to go... we would have figured it out but it is not easy. I would not recommend this way of going to or from the Atlantis!!!!

Just want to warn others... Especially since you might make the mistake of waiting until it is too late to head back to the ship. This boat operator DOES NOT CARE and would only laugh at you if you missed the ship!

This was my experience exactly. Take it for a nice boat ride, but a round trip ticket is not a good idea. We took a taxi back, and threw away out return tickets for the boat.

  4. Since lots of items quietly disappeared from "perks list" or "free items list" I assume that this "rubbing" thing will cost us. Here is the paragraph from Celebrity website:

"Another popular formal night tradition that will be expanded with evening chic nights is officer-hosted dining tables. But where previously only a Captain's Table was available, there will now be tables hosted by several officers ranking three stripes and above, such as the hotel director or guest relations manager, and tables will be at multiple dining venues on the ship."

Do you think this "three stripes and above" service will be complimentary? Celebrity charges for everything now: Bridge tour - pay! Galley tour - pay! Chef's Table - pay! The next one is "rubbing the elbows with the officers". :)

We have No desire to rub elbows with the officers!

  5. Our thoughts exactly. We are happy being one of the last to leave the ship.

I am glad self debark is the choice for some, for us, thanks but no thanks.

Please don't be one of those people that holds up the next 2000 + people who are excitedly waiting to board. As you know Nobody gets on until Everybody gets Off!

  6. This is my thought on jeans. If you want to wear jeans in a MDR then go on a cheaper cruise line. I work hard to save money to enjoy my cruise and buy nice clothes so I can dress nicely each night and have a fine dining experience. When you wear jeans, you are just ruining it.

No bashing, these are my opinions.

    AGREE!

People complain that the Cruise Experience is going down hill, , we are helping to drag it down!

  7. How are you guys being notified of these promotions? We've used the Barclay card for years - it's the only card we use and we pay it off monthly - and we've never received such promotion alerts. Are you getting them via e-mail or mail??

Another reason not to use Barclays, they fish for new clients, while taking long time loyal customers for granted and ignoring them.

  8. We booked this hotel in early march 2016. We will be arriving around 10:00 fromage Montreal. We want to go to the beach that afternoon. Is it easy?

We will want to buy water and sof drinks... Is there a store

Is that hotel a good choice?

    Thank you

We also have an upcoming stay at the Hilton marina fll , their website says that they provide a free shuttle to the beach at their sister hotel The Hilton Beach Resort. I have read reviews saying that the shuttle service is 'spotty' , but still a cab would work and its not far. Also the Water Taxi stops right at the Hilton marina , and discount tickets can be found on line. GOOD LUCK. And water and soda can be had in the other direction away from the beach a short walk away. GOOGLE Maps are your friend!

  9. I have been online with RCI for nearly 15 years. I have never found the website to be down or unresponsive. Most of you that complain have an issue with your own computer/tablet/smartphone. Don't blame RCI for your technical problems.

Royal list my age as 115 (yes I entered my correct date of birth) and wont let me book any excursions, because they tell me the max age is 85!

  10. We will be using, FIRECHAT, for the very first time. Thought we would pass the info along in case anyone is interested:

Texting does not work on the cruise so we are recommending that you download an app on your phone called FIRECHAT available for both iPhone and Android. Since there will be no wi-fi on the boat (well there is but it's expensive) we recommend downloading the app BEFORE we set sail or you will not be able to once we're at sea. What this app does when you have it ON is create a "web network" essentially it uses everyone's bluetooth connections to send messages to and from other members on the web network. To put it in plain terms, it will allow anyone who has the app to send text messages back & forth to other members who also are using the app. The more people who use it, the better it will work. Since it uses your phones short-range signal no one but those people on the boat who have the app will be included. It's also encrypted so there is no worry about your phone being "hacked."

Another good app is SHIP MATE, again you download it when you have Wi-Fi, and then you can use their complete deck plans, off line, to find your way around the ship.

  11. Do you think it went down like this (name the movie)

Vinny: Ms. Vito, you're supposed to be some kinda expert in automobiles, is that correct? Is that correct?

Judge Haller: Would you please answer the counselor's question?

    Lisa: No, I hate him.

Vinny: Your Honor, may I ask your permission to treat Ms Veto as a hostile witness?

Mona Lisa: You think I'm hostile now? Wait till you see me tonight.

Judge Haller: Do you two know each other?

    Vinny: Yeah, she's my fiancée.

Judge Haller: Well, that would certainly explain the hostility.

'My Cousin Vinny' the 2 youts!
