If you want stores then you will be disappointed in ISP. I wanted to be outside so loved it. I can shop at home. Although I also have redwoods at home (including 3 at my house) I don't have bears and few large eagles. Saw an eagle pick up a smallish animal (house cat size) guess it wanted dinner too Lots of scat. Some with bones. So 2 kinds of large predators. Maybe bears??

Certainly the case on my current Discovery Princess Alaska cruise ..... about 1/3 are blue, numbers get smaller until about 100 elite.

Tree fell. Minimal damage

Now that I'm here I just did what I was going to do in Skagway. Sort of. I had planned a hike to Lower Dewey Lake but instead I rode the 1st tram up and had a 1/2 mile walk down. Still trees, open air, very few people. Then I walked along the water. Rode the tram back up, walked back down. Still got 3 miles in. Pizza onboard. It is what it is. A really pretty area with a free tram and awesome zipline. Unfortunately their Adventure Park is closed (as security reminded me). But once it opens there's a bunch of stuff to do in the trees -- ropes, uneven planks, paths with missing planks, climbing!!

So its about as 'Alaskan' as Princess Cay is Caribbean? That's disappointing

They will have staff at the entry to the Captains Party and I'm waiting to see if they turn ppl away. According to the flyer they will. If you want to wear shorts then go to the buffet

Yes. Icy Point Strait instead. I've also never been there and I can't find a port guide for it. If any one has a link, I'd be appreciative

On our roll call someone just posted that our 'real' port is Ringaskiddy not Cobh. So how do I get to the Heritage Centre in Cobh for a walking tour? Is there anything to do in Ringaskiddy?? Can I get to Kinsdale from there??

It's hard for me to admit this but ~~~~ I have sustained an injury that will prevent me from standing for a long period of time. So I can't take the ship shuttle into Belfast. I walk just fine but only for a few miles but I can't stand. Does anyone know whether or not the taxis take charge cards? If not, do you know how many £s I'll need? Or is there a city bus at the port?? A taxi would be preferable, bus 2nd option. It's close so usually I'd walk but I don't know the terrain ..... I know I can't take the ship shuttle as that would require standing in line

Caveat: ask for a bill before getting off .... I did at 1:30am. I noticed there wasn't a charge for buying a FCD and I hadn't received an email that my Visa was charged. Tried to correct but I still cannot find it. Ah well, I'm back on in 4 months & will get 2 then. Can it be bought afterwards??

Whats in Port website says its 80 miles from Saigon but it also says to take a shuttle. Does the port have shuttles to the city? I will be on Princess if that's relevant
