  1. She always reminds me of Daphne from Scooby-Doo... 😄
  2. I did a direct (on-line) upgrade from Plus to Premier about a week ago. Total was $432...$400 for the upgrade, $32 for the bump in insurance.
  3. I'm very impressed! You've obviously put a lot of thought into that!
  4. Congrats on the reduced fare...and in getting a good response from CS. Yes, it is very common to see only bad remarks for an experience...I guess it's just human nature to want to "vent" when things don't go our way!
  5. @pugbeary...note that they also provide electronic tablets if you don't want to go the paper card route. They sell packages of multi games and if you are using a tablet (which is what I generally do) it is very easy to keep up with all of the "cards" you are playing..
  6. You'll likely get better response posting on the Alaska port forum...
  7. Nope...no "extra" charges at all (other than the cost of the internet plan from the ship. You need to set it up while still at home and TEST IT.
  8. @DCwom...sorry you had to go through that ordeal. Many have posted similar experiences. Princess (as with most other cruise lines) are really hurting for cash...in my opinion they are stretching out refunds and such as far as they think they can get away with it. It certainly adds to the frustration of what is *usually* a great vacation. I think *all* the cruise lines are doing this to some extent...doesn't make it right, though!
  9. Keep in mind that you can buy the "real" medallion holders/accessories on the ship. I always prefer to see how something like that might feel and even how well it might fit before purchase...unlike buying from Amazon.
  10. I know this probably will not help the OP...but way back when the Medallions were first introduced they were delivered (along with the complimentary lanyard) with a 2-piece plastic shell-type holder. We have always kept our old key cards...(and now medallions) so we have several of these still banging around our "travel stuff" drawer. I don't use a lanyard...I just slip the entire holder in my pocket. I'm always a bit nervous about losing the medallion but this shell gives it just enough size so that I can easily pull it out when I need it and it will not easily "grow legs".
  11. Nope...sorry. I have done this just recently (booked and paid for new cruiser family members.) In this case I had to set up their Princess account "from scratch" (they did not even have Captain's Circle accounts.) Once everything was booked and paid for on my credit card (as far as the cruise itself) the only way I could "see" into their account (to book excursions, etc.) was to log in using the credentials I used for their new Princess account. Using a credit credit as a "common point of identity" breaks so many privacy laws it would be hard to list them all. Princess doesn't care what credit card is used for any account...as long as everything is paid for!
  12. The only way to have things like that "display" is to have them in a web graphic type format (.JPG, etc.). I tried for the longest when I uploaded Patters for our recent Iceland/Norway cruise. I have a desktop scanner...I scanned them all into one *single* PDF so that you don't have so many files to download.
  13. Many people have been ranting over this in recent days. The general consensus is that Princess IT has messed up the pricing tiers. Personally, I would call directly in to see what they say and if the right price is given just purchase over the phone.
  14. It has gotten to the point where you will see even fewer men wearing sport coats and ties...just "dressy" (somewhat) shirts and khakis.
  15. I would think not unless she knows your Princess.com log in credentials.
  16. Where can you find this on the website? Have looked but cannot find it.
  17. I tend to check more than one source when researching deck plans. Princess is notorious for having inaccurate website info. Take a look here: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Sky-Princess and https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Sky-Princess-2154
  18. I understand that...but how did P&O even get inserted into this thread to start with? The OP said nothing about P&O. All I see regarding P&O is post #3 where P&O is mentioned in that posters signature...
  19. I do not log in with booking number, I use the same credentials as with Princess.com
  20. You absolutely *can* "go back and forth". I do it all the time.
  21. Welcome to CruiseCritic! Note that you can also make dining reservations on the "web version" if you prefer to use a desktop/laptop/tablet:
  22. Sounds like you have a good handle on how to approach this! I do very much the same. Hang in there!
  23. @Pickels...not sure if you've tried this or anyone else (off the board) has suggested... Can you log into Princess.com on a desktop/laptop/tablet with your existing credentials and "see" your booked cruise in cruise personalizer? If you cannot do that then this is NOT an app problem at all.
  24. OK...I'm confused. What does P&O have to do with anything?
