  1. If you book a hotel package through Princess they will handle the transportation to/from the hotel and airport. I have not looked at the tours you speak of...but they are going to be expensive...Princess has to get their cut, you know. There are so many ways to experience Rome. Take a look at the offerings from Viator. They are very good to work with...have used them for years. Or, if you just want to sit back and "see" Rome consider a Hop on/Hop off bus. You don't even have to get off the bus if you don't want to and you will see all of the major attractions. Once, we contracted through Viator for an eBike tour that started very near the Coliseum. I don't know if you've ever tried an eBike...but ANYBODY can ride these things. It was a great tour. An eBike will let you very lightly pedal while remaining seated and go up hills! Just a suggestion.
  2. This is exactly what I do, I tried the "extension cord across the room" bit only once (which is the "official" method that Princess always pushes) and then decided there has to be a better way. Discovered the Euro plugs behind the bed a long time ago and have never looked back!
  3. There are Euro plugs behind the bed on every ship. There is only one and it is generally not "centered" between the beds. It will be behind only one of the beds. You have to pull both out to find it. I have seen it behind either one.
  4. If you are like most people you *will* go back! We've gone back twice now after the original cruise. Very likely will go back again!
  5. And couple these fares with the fact that Princess will have 7 ships running the Alaska routes! I guess they think supply and demand is swinging to their favor.
  6. I would say that the issue is for any child that meets the requirements to attend a kids club would need to scan in & out just like adults getting on/off the ship.
  7. As far as charging multiple devices...I use a multiport USB charger which can charge up to 6 devices at a time. I just plug this into the US socket at the desk. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P936188/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This way, all you have to worry about taking are the proper charge cords...which you have to take anyway. It cuts down a bit on all the small wall chargers.
  8. The specific adapter that I've had for several years is no longer available from Amazon...but this one appears to be its successor: https://www.amazon.com/European-UROPHYLLA-Universal-Netherlands-South-Korea/dp/B07X1W5FS4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=7RDF9H5XZILB&keywords=urophylla+travel+adapter&qid=1676081646&sprefix=UROPHYLLA%2Caps%2C121&sr=8-3 This is what I use behind the bed to plug in my CPAP. While the front of the adapter doesn't look like it would accommodate it, you can plug in a Euro 220v 2 prong plug into it. In other words...whatever was plugged into the wall socket (probably nightstand lamp) can still be used all the while supplying a US socket for your CPAP.
  9. I have to admit...when I saw the title I thought you were going to tell us about a thief on board! 😄
  10. Check your booking...make sure they did not move you down next to the engine room! 😄
  11. Hah! I went to find that thread and noticed that you had already posted on it...
  12. There was another thread involving overnight ports where Quebec was specifically mentioned. Someone said that you could check in on the second day...but I don't think I would rely on an answer from here on something so important. Call (or chat with) Princess!
  13. I cannot say for sure...but I would be surprised if they refused American $ as a tip. While they might have to make a special run to their bank to handle it they would probably still accept it. But then again...you don't want to "inconvenience" them for the sake of a tip. I'm just sharing what I usually do...you will very likely get others that will say that no tip is needed. I try not to perpetuate the myth of being a "snooty American" and tip where appropriate. You might ask this same question over on the Ports of Call forums (British Isles) to get different viewpoints.
  14. You could just visit a local ATM if you don't want to have to deal with it before you leave. My particular bank charges a rather poor exchange rate in addition to a handling fee. And I have to order at least $200 dollars worth of whatever foreign currency I'm wanting. I *should* try to do more with my card...but I just like the feeling that I can be "flexible" should the situation dictate.
  15. Cannot say for sure...but the best chance of this happening would be in the Internet Cafe. They may not allow direct connection, however.
  16. Yes, I usually do tip those drivers...especially because it is "pre-paid". They may very well get a portion of the payment (hopefully they do...) but I refuse to believe that a "cash in hand" tip is not appreciated. For a hotel/airport run I usually tip £10. Admittedly not a lot...but I've never had it refused or "looked down on".
  17. I *think* it's from a Progressive Insurance commercial...not sure.
  18. We have not done a cruisetour either...but many have posted about food on these tours. Most have said that it is very expensive...but of course I am fairly sure that at least *some* of your meals are included...or maybe that there is a "meal plan" available that would help somewhat.
  19. Sounds like those newly hired marketing majors need to jump into action and conjure up an ice cream package... 😄
  20. Apologies...I just reread your question and just now caught what you were asking. I originally thought you were wanting to plug in 2 of the Euro adapters at the desk. You *might* be able to plug in both...but again...why would you need to? Just plug in your second black shorty strip into the one US socket and you've got multiple US sockets. ???
  21. You would not be able to plug in both of those white adapters at the same time. They are too wide. It all depends on what your goal is...do you need more US style sockets? (I have that exact item for your second picture but I rarely need it.) We use CPAPs and I use an "in-line" style adapter that plugs in behind the bed and allows a pass-through European style 2 prong along with a single US-style socket. I then plug in your second item to give multiple US sockets. Whatever *was* plugged into the wall behind the bed then plugs into the "pass-through" socket. No cords running across the floor! Now, if your goal is more US style sockets at the desk...why do you need 2 of the white adapters? There is already a US plug...just plug in your second (black) shorty strip there. All set! (Or am I missing something in what you need?)
  22. Take whatever I can offer with a grain of salt...because I've never done the one-way. That being said...we've done Alaska 3 times round-trip Seattle. If I were to do it again I would give strong preference to a on-way. You need to consider the differences (difficulties?) in the air fares and connections. Don't you get a couple extra ports with a one-way...and a longer cruise? Oh...and welcome to Cruise Critic!
