  1. Can't speak to your specific cabin because you did not share which cabin you're talking about...but I doubt very seriously that the beds can be done "L shaped". I have yet to see a cabin big enough to do so...though perhaps one of the suites might allow this.
  2. https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/onboard/keeping-in-touch/ Expand the Contact Phone Numbers section...
  3. Yes...but most people with a bit of common sense should understand that it's an occasion that calls for "a little bit nicer".
  4. I always pre-order...but a couple of times it was not present when we got to our cabin. When the steward came around to introduce him/her self I just mentioned that I was supposed to have distilled water. Very often they will go and get it right then; otherwise within just a few minutes. They are very used to these requests and apparently have it available in their supply closet.
  5. That is likely due to a change in the tour company running that particular excursion...though I've never heard of an instance like that. Sounds kinda cheap!
  6. Yep. The Intranet (ship's internal network system) is what allows all of the functions on the app to work. It *generally* works pretty well....the internet? Now that's a different story altogether! 😠
  7. Those types of OBC are *generally* not refundable. I may get this wrong...if I do I'm sure someone will step in! OBC provided by a TA is (I think) refundable. *MAYBE* OBC obtained via part of the cruise fare. (Not at all sure about that one.) We have never had any refundable OBC...and never of ANY type left over. The casino has quite the draw for us!!! 😄
  8. There is *always* at least one extra entrée in CC. I can't comment on recent CC menus but that is supposed to be "the plan".
  9. Excellent information here. We always get the Princess (or whoever) insurance but we have it backed up with the Geo Blue Trekker Choice plan...an annual multi-trip plan that kicks in for additional medical and evac benefits. We knew that our Medicare plan (and supplemental plan) was not going to be any good out of the US...the Geo Blue plans are good world-wide.
  10. Ah! It slipped my mind about the other specialty spots going up in price. WD may very well have gone up as well but it's still going to be much less than the Chef's Table. WD was still $40 back in August.
  11. AON is the insurance company that underwrites (or at least administers) the trip insurance for Princess. If you buy the protection plan from Princess you are dealing with AON...behind the scenes. You don't "purchase" directly from AON. (They handle the trip insurance packages for several cruise lines.)
  12. As I remember...you could log back in to the AON site and get a status for your claim. Ours took about a month and a half. They supposedly have a big backlog...but that may just be rumor.
  13. In my experience...they always hold back some seating in the specialty restaurants. So if you cannot get anything booked via the app just wait until on board and call the dine line or actually swing by the restaurant in question. Very often (not always) you will find someone there near the podium (even while closed) that can help you.
  14. I just tried logging in. It paused for a bit longer than usual (maybe 15 seconds) but finally let me in.
  15. And I see that you are relatively new as well with only 25 posts...Welcome!
  16. My apologies if I have led anybody astray on my comments about ignoring arrival time. My personal experience is limited to US ports along with Southampton, UK and Athens, Greece. It never crossed my mind that Australia might be different...or Far East. That being said...in almost 20 cruises so far *we* have never been asked about an assigned time...so you decide for yourself.
  17. Check your cruise personalizer under "Excursions" and look to see if your missing excursion shows up there. It may be that there was simply a glitch in the connection between excursions and the printing process (a bit of a stretch...but at least confirm that it still shows at that point.) Pursue accordingly.
  18. Or...Google Maps can probably help as well.
  19. I don't think anybody has mentioned this...but for those interested in purchasing FCD on board...you can do this directly on the app. I did this on our last sailing and have done so several times pre-Covid.
  20. Does not need to be "full formal" but you should dress as nicely as you can. You may feel a bit "out of place" if you don't. Everybody else is going to dress up a bit. Not tuxes or gowns...but personally I wear a coat and tie.
  21. Agreed! DW name contains two "middle names" and it gives us constant trouble on the Princess app. It cuts off the last character of the second middle name. Just another example of the shoddy programming that was done by the app devs. They did not allow enough characters for that field to be compatible with generally accepted programming technique. (I retired from IT...) But @Shelly97060 (I believe) has nailed it. Princess has the "real" middle names on file and should present no issues at check in.
  22. This is TRULY your best course of action. Many people stress out over this item and cannot just let it go. If it was something that *really* mattered or was looked at that would be different. But you do you!
  23. Yes...or just go to a laundry room on another deck.
  24. My apologies...you mentioned your iPad mini...and I assumed! (I know...sorry!) If you are using Safari then perhaps try Chrome? I have zero trouble using chrome in my iPad, but to be honest I do most of my work using the website on a PC desktop.
