  1. I have heard rumors that you might be able to purchase wifi on a daily basis...but don't hold me to that. Otherwise...all of the packages are "unlimited" for the length of the cruise. If you go with the Plus or Premium fare packages then wifi is included. To try for daily you will most likely have to visit the Internet Cafe on board... Welcome to CruiseCritic!
  2. You would likely get a better response by going to a current Roll Call and asking for a list from people actually on board right now...
  3. I cannot speak directly to cruising out of Japan...but I can answer a couple of your questions. Room service is included. No "traditional Dining" anymore. No rock climbing. Might be mini-golf or at least putting greens depending on the ship. Self-serve laundry on every deck that has cabins.
  4. Agreed! You're probably not going to be spending enough time on a balcony to get burned. Very chilly/windy!
  5. I tried to broach this topic a few months ago here on CC. I was basically "tarred and feathered" for my "blasphemy"! 😄
  6. We have done CC only once (on the Sky) in early 2022. We enjoyed it but the extra cost can be a turn off for some. We will probably spring for it ay some point in the future...but we prefer to get more bang for our buck by maybe doing a longer cruise or a "better" itinerary. You will probably get responses here from people who say they ONLY book CC. Everybody has their own level or needs/wants. CC cabins are always located on what is *generally* considered the "desirable" locations...you're not going to be down in the bowels of the ship! 😄
  7. We have done this one pre-pandemic. Very much enjoyed it. In Newport I suggest the "Newport Cliff Walk and The Breakers "which includes the mansions along the coast. Don't let the name scare you off! Absolutely nothing dangerous! Highlight (in our opinion) was The Breakers...large mansion built by the Vanderbilts as their "summer cottage"! 😄 In Boston, consider the "Best of Boston..." which includes Lexington and many Revolutionary war sites. Bar Harbor - we did Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain. You appear to be doing your cruise at the height of the fall colors, as we did. This tour really shows you the New England colors in fall! Saint John - I think they may have changed the name of the tour we did...the closest one I could find was Saint Martins Discovery and the Bay of Fundy (can't swear to this one...) Regardless, don't miss the Reversing Rapids and the Bay of Fundy. Can't help you with Halifax...we missed that port due to weather. (We are doing this cruise again in Sept. so hopefully we'll be able to finally do Halifax!) We really enjoyed this cruise...hence we are going back this year. This year's cruise extends further up and terminates in Quebec City, so we should get a bit of a different flavor on this one. You will enjoy this cruise.
  8. Typically, the only menus you will find online are actual pictures that cruisers have taken and posted after the fact, Menus can and do change all the time. Yes, you will find many of the "main items" the same on all menus but in regards to *those*...if you've seen it once you'll probably see it again.
  9. Good to know...but hopefully will never need to do so.
  10. We attended Pub Lunch on the Island back in October. It was held in the Wheelhouse Bar. First time we have been able to attend one. We really liked it! A LOT of people were lined up to get in long before the doors opened!
  11. It appears there is no fleet-wide standard schedule. Seems to be ship-by-ship.
  12. They have had a LOT of issues with internet purchase recently. Most people said that they saw a message "No Plans Available". Maybe they thought they had it fixed...and just introduced ANOTHER bug! You *should* be able to call in and do it over the phone.
  13. Maybe they've been "improving" it again! 😠
  14. Yes...I wish they had "left it alone" and maybe just let the web system's data "feed" the app...but then we're pretty sure the app devs have never even been on a ship, aren't we! 😄
  15. Yes it REALLY is! I retired from IT...I cringe at almost every "enhancement" that they push out. I really don't think they are doing any real testing before pushing something out "live". That being said...you *should* be able to change your web password. I did.
  16. Just go back into the EZAir section and you can search/investigate to your hearts content! Just don't click anything that says "Change my flight" or anything sounding like that. You can cancel out at any time. (Website version)
  17. Clarification please...Is Plus part of the cruise fare package that you booked or did you purchase a separate instance of the Plus Beverage Package for 1 or more cruisers? If part of the actual booking level then you *should* retain that level through an upgrade.
  18. Hmmmm...seems like I've heard Mick Jagger alluding to this!
  19. I was very careful to use a good password (which uses character(s) for both the website and the app...I use the same set of credentials for both. Easier to remember that way.
  20. Personally, I HATE the way that you have to pan up, down, left, right just to try and find something. We use the printed Patter; it's so much easier to just scan down the page at the events. Or... here's a trick that many people are not aware: Browse to shipname.princess.com Example: If you are on the Regal: regal.princess.com You will be presented with the "old" web version that was in use for years before the app was even a glimmer. SO much easier to navigate and find what you want!
  21. I don't think so...but to be honest, we NEVER try to use the Journey View...it's just too cumbersome. All that panning up, down, left, right TRYING to find something. We just use the printed Patter...OR browse to sky.princess.com (in your case) to get to the "old" web version. MUCH easier to see what you really want to see, in my opinion!
