  1. I'm glad to hear that Cunard makes it easy for teetotalers to have a good experience on board.
  2. Is there still Tabasco available in QG on QM2 or do we need to bring our own?
  3. It does not make sense to bring in scones. They have large rolling machines for all kinds of dough and cookie cutters they probably cut at least 50 at a time, considering how many they are serving each day.
  4. I ones watched a "gentleman" come in to the Commodore club after six wearing a white bathrobe ordering a drink and he got away with it.
  5. Okay then. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
  6. My World Club number dates from 2019 and is 10 digits. I'm American and the cruise was booked through American travel agency.
  7. Well, that would certainly be brazen. I was thinking back to when we had our table moved to a window, but this was 2 days in. We boarded in Hamburg and then in Southampton we were moved to the window table vacated by departing passengers. Yes, it would be most inappropriate to cause someone to be moved from a table they had already eaten at, just because someone with a lot of cash wanted it. In this case might as well put the tables up for auction.
  8. A. How would you know? B. It's Cunard's right to sit you anywhere they want.
  9. Americans see this differently than the British. Many of the answers here come from British folks and most are adamant against it. It's not going to embarrass the staff to take your cash. After all a tip is money given as a bonus for service rendered, so giving the Maitre d' a tip for changing your table is not inappropriate. It would also be fine to wait and include the tip as part of the overall end of trip tips that you may wish to pass out. If you aren't flashing your cash or making a production out of it, then it's between you and the Maitre d' and no one else should care.
  10. Think of it this way - What is further aft of the extended balcony cabins? The Owner's Suite, the single most expensive cabin on the boat.
  11. Great, thanks - he was there on our last TA in 2019 and yes, he's great.
  12. Can someone tell us who the current Maitre D on QM2 is?
  13. This is the correct action. If you didn't cancel a booking, or even have one then why in the world would you open the obviously scam email? I realize that spam can look really legit now, but still.
  14. No, first come first serve.
  15. Tell them you'll be happy to accept an upgrade to Queen's Grill though.
  16. WantedOnVoyag, Years ago flying all over for Business United lost my Luggage twice in one week. So I wanted to gate check and the Agent at the gate told me she could not. I explained that they had lost my luggage already twice this week and she better comply. She told me that she was a Flight Attendant for 20 Years and never lost her Luggage. My reply was that I had never seen a Flight Attendant check their Luggage in all my Years of Travel. She gate Checked it.
  17. You do realize that you could have requested either dish in the QG, right?
  18. Cruise Ship - nave da crociera Ocean Liner - Transatlantico Yes there is indeed
  19. LOL, being from the US I had to google Mr. Coward
  20. If your husband does not smoke then why does he have a smoking jacket? I put mine on after dinner on formal nights and head for Churchill's. Nice jacket by the way.
  21. Hmm, booked Vista last year for next year. Vista layout shows all the extended balconies as A2, except for a few Solo Verandas, so this must have been something already in the works.
  22. Last time I was on the boat there were always several people in the lounge, especially in the evening. I'll let you know in October, but it's a comfortable place for cigar and pipe smoking. Churchill's has a good smoke processing system, the air is clear and I have not ever smelled smoke outside of the lounge. Cunard does not allow cigarette smoking in the lounge, a bunch of cigarette smokers would overpower the air filters.
  23. Exactly, it was a show of good faith.
