  1. My only complaint with the pool is that there is not a smidge of shade to be found in the pool. I guess that's why it's on the sundeck......... mac_tlc
  2. We prefer E-class over S-class, but certainly wouldn't avoid S class. Have done 5 E-class so far with 5 more scheduled -- and, yes , I would even book an IV !!! (although prefer the retreat). mac_tlc
  3. Another vote for Nachi Cocum. mac_tlc
  4. I use the “CruiseMapper” app now. Some of the prior websites didn’t survive the shutdown. mac_tlc
  5. Before they changed the menu a couple years ago, 150CP was our favorite. The breads, the salts, ahhhhh. The current menu is uninspiring. Now we prefer Giovanni's. mac_tlc
  6. Don't need the water park, but a lagoon pool would be awesome. mac_tlc
  7. We are on deck 11. We had a GS on deck 10 in May, I agree about the loungers -- we didn't use them at all. But I do like the GS's on Oasis/Allure vs Harmony/Symphony. I'm not a fan of the dividing wall Curious how big the shower is in the OS -- it looks sorta small because the tub is there also. I'm sure we will be ok.😂 mac_tlc
  8. We have our first OS on Oasis in September. Always interested in others experiences and observations. mac_tlc
  9. If you just upgrade from your current cabin to a suite just by paying the current suite price, outside of “Move Up”, the third passenger will get the OBC. mac_tlc
  10. Here is a copy of the Press Release when "Always Included", "Elevate" and "Indulge" came to be. Even though the descriptions say "shore excursion' credit, you can use it for anything on board. Didn't have a long shelf life........ As noted, Elevate and Indulge are no longer available for new bookings. mac_tlc CEL_Announces_Always_Included_PR_2020-.pdf
  11. Celebrity needs to spend some time updating their web site, but this one pager describes the current offerings. Note the name of the file...... 6_30_22_Sunsetting Elevate_Indulge_Consumer.pdf (rccl.com) mac_tlc
  12. What I noticed for an early 2024 sailing Is that Elevate and Indulge are not offered. It’s “no perk” or “always included”. AI includes basic wifi, Classic bev pkg and gratituities. For Aqua class and above, it’s only AI. I think they want you to pay for upgrades to wifi or drinks, which is why they made a big deal recently of the discounts by CC tier. mac_tlc
  13. I know that. My point is that it is available, so if RCI can’t/doesn’t get it then they should stop advertising it and charging for it, especially given the large increase in the beverage packages lately. Or let me buy it in the store and use it during the cruise . mac_tlc
  14. Not a fan of the shorter cruises. Some of the 8 day Voyager cruise in early 2024 have the VP’s still available. mac_tlc
  15. We do enjoy the balcony but we would try a VP. Maybe I’ll have to find one when Voyager comes to PC. mac_tlc
  16. Our January Apex and March Edge cruises had Woodford, at least in the Retreat Lounge and, in the Club as I recall. Macallan in the Club at times. Worst supplied lounge seemed to be the Magic Carpet. Be glad you aren’t on Royal where the selection has been very poor. No Woodford, Bulleit, Buffalo Trace and rarely Makers. If you like Jameson and JD you are all set. Of course, the store has it all: mac_tlc
  17. As we have gotten older, and retired 4 years ago, we value extra space. We typically go with at least a JS now, and higher on O class because we like the extra amenities. We are not sun worshipers and hardly ever use the sun deck or pool deck, other than the Solarium if it’s covered. That is our biggest disappointment with O class— they have terrible Solariums, IOHO. I wouldn’t say we cruise less now, but we worked our whole life to now enjoy it a bit while we can. mac_tlc
  18. Now if they could put Mamma Mia, Aqua80, Flight, and Frozen in Time on the same ship………….. mac_tlc
  19. We are also on Harmony 8/14, in 4-bredroom Villa Suite. Let's see what the genie can find in the liquor cabinet!!! mac_tlc
  20. The two in CT are still non-smoking, at least as recently as a month or so ago. It was a pleasant surprise.
  21. The sacrificial area on Oasis is the casino bar, which is between the two. We skipped it many nights because the smoke smell was too much for us. mac_tlc
  22. Or maybe because he is not the President & CEO of Celebrity. That "honor" goes to Lisa Lutoff-Perlo. Hopefully she keeps it as it is. mac_tlc
  23. We got the e-mail today so I checked the prices. We are also Star Class and I did wonder if they are holding any back for Star Class. I guess everyone has equal chance, but if I did want to book them and didn't happen to see/get/check the e-mail and they were sold out when the Genie contacts us, I might be a bit upset (not at those prices though). mac_tlc
  24. We are on the same sailing and got the e-mail this morning. I checked the prices also, but for $898 for a "standard", I think we will pass, even though there are 8 of us (but only one payee 🙃) We did get an Oasis Lagoon cabana for the same sailing for $399 on Black Friday. mac_tlc
  25. Since at some point, price matters (at least to us), I did a quickie comparison to the January 29, 2023 sailing of the Celebrity Beyond and the MSC Seascape. For 2 adults. Celebrity Beyond in an S2 = $9,629 with $800 OBC+PBP+grats+WiFi MSC Seascape, YC, Deluxe Suite = $13,378, incl. drinks & WiFi I would like to try the YC, but the few times I have checked there is no price advantage. Doesn't have to be cheaper necessarily, but comparable would work. BTW, in January, we booked an S2 on that 1/29/23 Beyond sailing for $5,431. I'm sure YMMV depending on ship/sailing, etc. mac_tlc
