  1. No, Just wondering if you brought any liquor aboard in Europe since they seem to allow it. You probably had comped drinks anyway, highroller.
  2. Cucina was $15 and now $18 on non-Excel class ships. Complimentary on Mardi Gras and Celebration to spread out the passenger load.
  3. I’m sure Carnival wouldn’t advertise it but they are a lot more lax on European cruises. @IntrepidFromDC was just over there and eating his way through Italy, don’t know if he tried to bring any alcohol aboard in any ports.
  4. The To Do list in your Cruise Planner will show what day your check-in begins. Cruise on Nov. 20 will have check-in on Nov. 6; 11/4 for Platinum/Diamond/Suites. 12:01am eastern time.
  5. The other reason I like a B2B is with the time and expense of getting to the ship, just seems better to do two.
  6. I’d go for it. One of your last chances before the boy starts school. ABC beaches will be awesome; same with Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. I cruise for beach days, don’t even bother fighting the crowds in the pools onboard. Cozumel is loaded with beach clubs, reasonably priced all-inclusive or pay-as-you-go. B2B is easier if you have the same cabin. We got a fruit basket, champagne and a group picture. I actually jumped in a Uber and went to buy extra wine and soda. Had a “In Transit” pass to get back onboard, skip the line. 9/16 is still the tail end of hurricane season. I’d be looking at the first 2 weeks of Dec. on Celebration just to have 2 weeks to try all the food venues. Prices are great. You’ll be fine on Horizon and the ABC itinerary is the bomb diggity.
  7. I didn’t know either, I just asked a security guard. Had a good visit last Christmas.
  8. I still enjoy the Seaday Brunch; however, wish they hadn’t cut the hours down to noon. Love the tall, skinny glasses of orange juice, usually have 3. Nice to just sit down and enjoy being waited on and better menu options than the buffet.
  9. You may be mistaken because that sounds exactly like the casino offer! Yes, it may be listed in your VIPF offers but the $500 OBC is casino offer.
  10. Was the shawarma station part of Street Eats or is it open every day? Hoping to try it on Celebration for Christmas.
  11. Are you referring to Mardi Gras, since you listed Big Chicken? Radiance? As posted above, some do close at 2:30 sharp, lunch BBQ on Vista/Guy’s and Valor/Old Fashioned BBQ. Seafood Shack was open past 2:30. That is one reason the Hub app is useful for keeping an eye on what is going on and making plans.
  12. They were offering 2 deals on Panorama class ships after the restart. I was wondering about this recently as to what happened after the last price increase for specialty dining. Haven’t seen any recent posts about the offers and likely discontinued. One offer was Steakhouse and 2 of the other venues $60/pp, savings of $8. Other offer was 3 venues not including steakhouse $38/pp, savings of $7. There were signs advertising the offer in the elevators.
  13. The big deck party on most ships is the 80s Party. The cruise director and some guest dress in their finest duds from the 80s, including big hair and leg warmers.
  14. New ship, new entertainment and a dedicated happy hour. We’ll be on the fourth cruise after the TA, 8 day over Christmas on a comped cabin casino fare. Life is good.
  15. The rules do state that the named person must cruise when booked on a casino fare. However, I don’t recall any posts if others were re-fared under a different or solo fare?
  16. I like the Marriott Biscayne Bay or the Doubletree Grand next door. Great location with shopping/dining arcade between the two hotels. Publix a short walk a block away. I used Uber in Miami, fast and affordable.
  17. It’s like a bunch of lemmings going off a cliff; why is your post loaded vertical?
  18. After you do your online check-in and print your documents before your cruise, your boarding pass will be Gold status.
  19. You could buy an internet plan and check your email regularly if you expect any possible emergency, such as ill or aging parents back home?
  20. I bought 100 shares this week, too. I’ll submit for my Christmas Celebration cruise. However, may be denied as it is a casino fare. Could pay off long term as my risk is only $7.56/share.
  21. We stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay on 12/25. Believe it was scheduled for renovation on through this year, don’t know if that has been completed. Great location, we were given upper floor/waterside; balcony door didn’t open during renovation. Adjacent to Doubletree; huge shared pool deck between hotels. Nice shopping/dining area enclosed between hotels. Publix/full grocery short walk a block away. Also. Burger King and Rally’s/Checker’s for late night burgers. We’ll likely book 12/18 for our Christmas Celebration cruise.
  22. I just did a mock booking. You’ll get the deposit amount paid back as OBC. Offer is for 2 person cabin, they charge $200 deposit even on solo, OBC is $200.
  23. Your cruise planner, booking details page, click on invoice details; mine shows a box that we have $200 OBC with our casino fare.
