  1. Their port fees and taxes will be refunded for second leg.
  2. Was that pre-Covid? I didn’t think they were doing the galley tour post-Covid. I think it would be neat to get a glimpse behind the scenes.
  3. The carving station at the Buffet carved roasted turkey 1 day on each cruise, not just Thanksgiving. The turkey always looks great. The leg of lamb on another day is also good.
  4. Thanks for the tip. We’ll be on Spirit 4/2/23 for Spring Break. That will be the oldest Carnival ship we’ll have been on. Hoping it won’t be a letdown after our Christmas cruise on Celebration.
  5. That works, too. They don’t wanna lug their carry-ons to lunch.
  6. The 80’s Rock and Glow is the preeminent deck party and will be at 9:30 or 10:00pm.
  7. Simple. Just choose a 1:00-1:30 arrival appointment and your cabin will be ready when you board.
  8. To clarify, available outside the U.S. for some reason?
  9. Dec. 1 will either be the day the decorations are done or they will start working on them during your cruise. They also do a big table display of a gingerbread Christmas village. It had a few dings by the end of Dec. on Sunshine last year. We’ll be on Celebration 12/19-12/27.
  10. Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey, that’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Megan.
  11. Hennessy Pure White, I believe is only available in the Caribbean, and I wanna say it was $55? Saw people buying by the case. Helps if you have a good idea of the cost back home to sniff out the better deals in the duty free shops. Variety of rum and tequila, more so in the ports.
  12. They no longer offer the bottles, if that is what you are referring to.
  13. Both are good. I’d give the nod to St. Maarten. We had one of our best excursions ever on a private catamaran, with snorkel, awesome lunch spread, and beach break. The jets flying right over your heads on the beach was a hoot.
  14. We’ll be on 12/19 for Christmas. Please post if they are showing any Cabanas available if you see the sign posted outside Loft 19. I haven’t seen any released yet for non-Excel Suites guests. Can’t wait to try all the food options; especially as we have not been on Mardi Gras yet.
  15. I believe they are usually up after Thanksgiving until after Christmas, maybe even through NYE.
  16. Not included in Cheers and are not counted against the daily 15 drink limit.
  17. Sorry about that. I could have swore that last time I read a post about the Steakhouse Brunch, nobody mentioned any upcharge. And no, I am not confusing it with the Seaday Brunch. I’d love to see a menu. I know I’d book it! They didn’t have it on our Alaska cruise. I’d love to partake on TA or Journeys cruise. Hope to be retired within a few more years.
  18. They weren’t enforcing in New Orleans this summer. They didn’t even look at our wine (4) or soda (39) for the 3 of us. We had a 24 can case and a 15 can bonus pack. I also went to get more in between cruises.
  19. Considering the fact they dropped the filet from the steak and eggs, I doubt they’ll be in any rush to offer additional Steakhouse brunch.
  20. @BlerkOne Thank you for posting. We’ll be on Celebration 8 day Christmas cruise. We didn’t make it to Mardi Gras yet, really looking forward to all the food options. Great to see cevapi at SeaDogs, I’m half Croatian.
  21. 18% is a pretty big tip considering the high cost of the Cabana. Those that are able to book at a discounted rate should consider tipping extra to reflect the difference between regular price.
  22. Pretty sure someone would be there around 12:00-3:00, roughly.
  23. Thank you for the update on the shows. I just booked Spirit for Spring Break, 4/3/23, 6 days. I know the cast of performers may differ by then but, I’d like to see 88 Keys; haven’t seen it before.
  24. @gopackgo21 2) Loft 19 Cabanas may be booked upon boarding. Excel Suites have pre-cruise priority to book the Cabanas. Some have been getting a pop-up offer in their Cruise Planner offering Loft 19 Cabanas a couple weeks before their cruise. I am looking to book one on Celebration 12/19, if available; haven’t seen anything yet.
  25. We went several years ago. There were 2 times and more than 1 boat. We were all called to a meeting the morning of the excursion, where they announced 1 boat had mechanical trouble and had to cancel. Guests that booked last were informed they would be refunded; bummer because this could be the trip of a lifetime for some.
