I LOVE the white color that Acura/Honda and Lexus/Toyota use on their cars.  They have a lot of depth and sheen.

Congrats on the new wheels (late to the party).  My younger sister just got a new CR-V hybrid.  She loves it.  It's her 3rd one.  And, she says the same...it's taken her a while to get the hang of everything, but she loves having wireless CarPlay for all GPS and podcasts/music she wants on the screen. She's wearing out voice control on all of it. 😉

Yeah, the CarPlay is great! Still figuring it all out but having voice control rocks. And playing my music library from my phone guarantees I always have a song on that I like, lol.

Nice car. That color sounds like what I have. They call it White Frost Tricoat on the GMC Yukon Denali. I like the pearly shimmer.

Thank you. Yeah, the shimmer really makes it nice. I think it's called White Pearl on the Hondasa, same thing. Funny thing--around here at least, the selection was limited--I have heard that is true in a lot of places. There were mostly black available, then white (which is more $$) and a few ugly colors. Now that I have a white car, when we drive around we see white cars everywhere! It';s so funny. White and black. Black is nice but we don't have a garage and it would just be so HOT in the summer.

I have mine set up to be very close to the amount that I need for my grandkids’ Christmas gift cards and checks. It sits in an otherwise unused bank account from February to early December, when I am really glad to have it.

    That works!

Refund? What are these "refunds" everyone is talking about? I've had to PAY over and above my withholding forever. Last time I got a refund was 1991 when my daughter was born...

Refunds are not really a great thing. All rhat is the government has been using the money you overpaid when you paid too much taxes! The best hope is to find the "sweet spot" where you get close to nothing back.

How's everyone's tax return sitch going? I could really use mine, but we're dragging a bit. Last year my return was in my account by 2/1, and this year I'm still in that limbo between "accepted" and "approved"... I'm a teacher and have a low four digit refund, so it's not like I'm a high priority or target or anything, I just always get nervous at this part. Anywho, it's still projected for 2/18, so hopefully that holds and it updates soon. This ridiculous Funwagon ain't gonna repair itself...

I am still waiting on my second (smaller) client's 1099. I have everything ready (almost) to upload to my accountant's website but every darn year my second client takes forever to get me my 1099. We don't get much back but we usually get at least 1000. I pay estimated taxes which seem to go up every year. So tax time is not my fav time of the year. But working freelance still rocks!.

Sid ole boy let me offer another thing to consider. As far as I can tell after reading most, if not all of your posts, that there really is only three things that really give you joy in life.

Eating, alcohol & taking pictures. That carries through whether you are at home or on a ship. Why do you feel the need to remove one of those pillars of your pyramid? I'm sure others on The Tribe will throw out a myriad of reasons why you should cut back/give up alcohol but what kind of happiness will there be left for you?

    Just a thought.

I think the bottom line on this rests on the fact that he is trying to. Which tells us (and him) that it is something he heeds to do, Which tells us (and him) that it is a problem.

In other news: I just put a hold on an NCL Viva cruise from San Juan in January 2025... I was considering the Tribe cruise 2.0, but this actually comes out significantly cheaper, although I'll have to get to San Juan instead of Galveston. Itinerary is pretty dope though. Tortola, Antigua, St Kitts, St Maarten, St Lucia, and St Thomas... The Jubilee (Tribe) cruise would've been around $1600 for an inside, but then add on almost another $500 for Cheers, and we're at $2100. The Viva includes beverage package, although I would probably upgrade to the Premium Plus package including the WiFi and additional specialty dinner...

Except for Port #3 (ours is Bridgetown, Barbados), same itinerary as ours next March. They all sound great to me!

Just curious and with Tribe Respect.  Why do you test for Covid? Before Covid no one tested, we just assumed we had a flu. Right?

When I had it, it was different from any cold I had ever had. I tested because my friend had tests and I wanted to know. I think I probably would if I got it again if the symptoms were strange. Having a taste issue was freaky as was the utter and complete exhaustion. I felt better about it once I knew it was "normal." I have never had the "regular" flu, believe it or not. So if I have symptoms unfamiliar I want to know why.

I get it.  I really liked the Havana area.  It was nice to have quiet space for lounge chairs and a pool. I especially loved haveing our own bar out there.  My balcony had a swing and I loved that thing!  It was so peaceful to swing and drink and look at the ocean.  It was really my happy place.

I know, right?? I had a room with a swing too--I thought it sounded so relaxing. And the bar right there--perfect. Kind of a Haven-lite and a darn good price next to the Haven prices!

Well it's not the same time so you can join us on Jubilee to get ready for Sistahs Cruise!

LOL. Can't do. Too much vacation all at once. I need to earn $$ for my vacations! Another time...I still want the Havana experience, so it will happen at some point!

And you don't know it yet but we are planning to join.  And possibly @SenatorsFanalso. When you return from Virgin Voyage you may hear from us to book something!!

I can't find the post--what cruise are you all talking about? When? What ship? I'm so behind...

Good morning Cruise Critic and Tribe families! Even though there is no football today, I will still be drinking beers with friends. Therefore I will not be posting any pages today. Tomorrow I will get you into Amber Cove and some more Tribe shenanigans. Have a great Sunday everyone! 😃

Well, I for one will miss you! Enjoy your well-deserved day off.

  13. Seeing another Wildra cruise report just put a smile on my face! Yay. I'm kind of glad I hit it when I did, because I am all caught up and you are taking a break. If you were NOT taking a break I'd be sitting here for another hour not doing things I really should be doing. Like going to the bathroom, refilling my empty champagne glass, figuring out what to eat for dinner.

I love the creativity of how you write--it astounds me and makes me laugh. I mean out loud (none of that LOL stuff for me here, I'mma spellin' it out, out of Wildra respect).

Only a very few of my favorites Wildra-isms so far:

I need you to rip those things open like a monkey on a cupcake.

ATL traffic ain’t nobody’s friend. Wet or dry. It makes no promises and it is known to throw a hitch in your giddy up and mollywhop your plans.

Was it M.I.A. like her 4 front teeth? Breakfast should never be this hard. Or angry. Or toothless.

Listen man, we don’t sell used baby hamsters behind the Home Depot. We are better than this.

Laughing! (Out loud.) Thank you for the respite from reality. 🙂

  14. @Travelicious, man that sounds like a hard surgery. Two days, oh my goodness. I will be thinking of your brother and praying that all remains well, and that at the end of such a hard time, he will be feeling so much better (grumpy or otherwise). You are a good sister and daughter to be there for him and your Mom.

I've had a raging migraine all day. Taken Excedrin twice. Just took Imitrex. Would really like to not have to inject myself tonight. Eating a cupcake for dinner and going to sleep.

Really sorry you are suffering. I used to have migraines, but they were never as harsh as yours. My doc gave me a prescription of some tabs that melted in my mouth. They really helped. But as I said, never as bad as yours. Hope you feel better soonest!

What is the filling in these? They look delish.

I wouldn't. I bet it's just going to give you a general "it's in the house," not "you left them in the bathroom next to your toothbrush" therefore rendering it useless.

No, you can set it up to make a noise that will come from your iPhone or iPad, like the "Find Mt iPhone" thing does. There is an app for it.  I only wanted one that did that. Otherwise, like you said, it is not too useful.

It started to rain around 3:30 so the Sail Away party I believe was moved to Celebration Central. I can’t believe that we’re going to have another crappy sail away. If you remember our B2B cruises on the Venezia, it poured on both sail away days!

We decided to watch our soggy sail away from our cabin balcony. When we got back to the cabin, we found that all of our luggage had arrived. Patti began to unpack while I documented the action. Here are our rainy, miserable sail away pictures……

Well that's just sad and unfair! Sailaway should NEVER be rainy. Still, the pics are really pretty.

In a sad, unfair, rainy way.
