  1. Well, you have worries of that on a HAL ship. And I agree completely with you. I have no desire in getting liost on a cruiseship! L.
  2. Bon Voyage to all sailing....can't wait to watch your sailaway on Saturday! L.
  3. Koningsdam, becasue you said you like food. I would be lost without the Tamarind, and sushi while on my way to Alaska? YUM! As well, one of the best places to grab a snack is the Grand Dutch Cafe. The pea soup is, again, YUM! Plus, I do appreciate the NY Pizza. The Pinnacle class ships have better food options, imo. L.
  4. Well, @mcrcruiserlooks like your wish may come true....check out the product planner. 14 day Mexico cruise, San Diego Circle to Hawaii..... I guess we will really see as of the 21st. L.
  5. I'm curious why you booked the 11 day partial Panama instead of the 16 day Zaandam, if it is the Zaandam that you wanted to be on? L.
  6. They are huge! As a matter of fact, I have one booked on the Rotterdam next spring. But one other thing to be aware....half of your verandah is open to those on the decks above you as well, so perhaps no "exposed" sunbathing! 😁 L.
  7. Depneding on where you are under the Lido. We were in 8085...close to mid elevators, but you can hear the plate trolleys going over the ceramic tiles of the Lido.....thack, thack, thack, thack.... Didn't matter to me because I can sleep through a hurricane, but it drove DH NUTS!! He had a tough time going to sleep during the late opening of the Lido. L.
  8. I've always liked deck 4, except for the fore section. You could find that the World Theatre might get noise, as you are above it. Mid is not much of anything, and aft is the 2nd level of the MDR. If you do decide to do Club Orange and want to stay on that level, the extended balconies (VB) at the aft were great for us. We were on the Koningsdam and had 3 verandahs side by side by side, and we could easily fit 5 on one balcony. L.
  9. And these are photos of the outdoor pool. It is at the aft, and as you can see in the second photo, there are plenty of loungers behind the pool as well. L.
  10. Here's a couple of photos of the "indoor pool" on the Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam's sister. You can see what RuthC is talking about regarding the second level. L.
  11. Technically, I was sitting in front of my computer on the West Coast of BC! They are screen grabs from PTZ live camera. L.
  12. Going back to her previous berth, I think. Sorry, have to miss this, but turkey is on the table! L.
  13. Great sailaway! Glad the cam operators cooperated, and we got some great toots too! Wish it had been just an hour earlier for the lighting.... Smooth sailings @Scrapnana L.
  14. I got a few of Cathi! I'll do them one at a time.... L.
