  1. I mentioned that we might know more about April 2024 Resilient Lady after they work though these changes and cancellations.
  2. From Reddit: "• January 23 - February 2, 2024: Tasman Sea, Fjords & Māori Shores • February 2 - February 14, 2024: New Zealand, Tasmania & Melbourne • February 14 - February 24, 2024: Southeastern Australia & New Zealand • February 24 - March 5, 2024: Pacific Fjords & Tasman Treasures"
  3. VV is currently working though a bunch of January-March 2024 cancelled cruises in Australia. Maybe they will update us on Brilliant Lady after they process these cancellations and rebookings.
  4. We did the transatlantic in April and had 3 or 4 stops in the Med. Premium internet was great.
  5. Thanks Sid. I know this takes a lot of time. Hope your work situation works out favorably. Until next time...
  6. I hope you look back on this VV cruise as an enjoyable and hopefully restful event. We all need to take a bit of time for ourselves and recharge.
  7. Go visit Sailor Services and they will remove your speciality coffee charges. It's normal for it to take days to credit. It has happened to me in the past. But if you want it credited, I suggest you do it before leaving the ship.
  8. 9 cruises so far and 5 more booked. We like: The attitude of the staff. Almost... All inclusive pricing. Virgin seems to be adding extra for some events, but i haven't experienced it personally yet. VV, please control the urge to add more... Faster internet than most other lines and less expensive. Diversity of guests and no one cares. Guests can dress as they like - casual or dress. Quality of food in restaurants. The hammock. I spend hours in it. Stops in Bimini. No announcements from a cruise director. Little "pockets" on the ship where people can spread out and not feel crowded by others. No tipping policy. VV, please keep this in place and requests all staff to reject the tips! VV i suggest you establish a "guest reward" where each guest can provide points to a specific staff member during the cruise. And smaller things, like soda and coffee included, automated lights and curtains, and roving entertainment. I could provide a list - from my prospective -of possible improvements but I wont include it as this is off topic.
  9. Sparks are tenative placeholders. A lot will move around on the APP when you board and connect to ship wifi.. Often days, times and events move around a lot. And- even after you board- they will change on the app.
  10. New menu in Test Kitchen. It looks very good.
  11. In the gift shop which will open after you reach international waters (12 miles).
  12. This is not a good selection for a cabin if you have ANY other choice.
  13. The World Cup was playing at multiple places around the ship including the Social Club.
  14. We dont enjoy loud and noisy. But, we really enjoy VV!. The VV build team proved, they got it right for all types of people.
  15. 8 day cruises are better than 7. 14 days are better than 8. I have cruised a lot and just knowing you dont have to exit the ship and get back to the "daily rat race" after 4, 5 or 7 days DOES bring an extra bit of peace. I highly recommend the 8 day verses 7.
  16. This new-topic is the opposite of what we have experienced on multiple VV cruises. I do like the new flag system in the galley. I have found, experienced and warm crew with very good service.
  17. There isn't a hotel at the port. The closest is Holiday Inn Port of Miami. I haven't stayed there to confirm a view, but I think it will have a VV view if you're on the correct side of the building.
  18. UBER is great. We have called them multiple times after exiting VV ships. The wait is 10-15 min. You pick it up at the center island - about 100 ft from where you exit. Bayside is an outdoor mall. Its worth a look, plus a couple good restaurants and several bars.
  19. We are close to your age and taken 7 VV cruises so far. It has become our favorite and agree with @cantgetin review. We are not night owls. Come and enjoy the wonderful crew, guests and food.
  20. To compensate for motion sickness, I would suggest getting a cabin midship decks 8-10 (something like 10 154). If you go lower than deck 8, some cabins have a lifeboat directly below or blocking the view.
  21. Tips on board are covered. VV has created a culture to provide an incredible experience for their guests without tipping. This is one of the founding principles of their reimagined cruises. I know... we are all conditioned to believe that we should tip on cruises, but let's respect the culture they have created. Each future guest will experience a spectacular experience without tipping, paying extra for specialty dining, or wi-fi. Just relax and enjoy! (FYI... 7 VV cruises and counting)
  22. Modifying what I said above: I agree with 14 not being a good choice. I got my deck numbers mixed up; I would not go with Deck 14. Zoom is fine to start or join a call, but then switch to audio to keep the quality of the call for others.
