sounds like that one I was looking at actually. and they have 15% on msc- don’t like msc like I do p&o but unfortunately they do better prices, like ridiculously better in school holidays perhaps cos they aren’t British. Also looked at RC- really want to go on one, think it’s a good deal but again as they are probably more of a higher line than p&o then I’m getting prices to match. might need to do more research but can’t have all my holidays on p&o- they are just too convenient for me to say no to.

Didn’t know they did that. Will try that next time. I am really trying to behave though as we have three holidays this year and two next already booked and I probably shouldn’t even be looking on holiday websites but I can’t seem to help myself

sorry didn’t even realise that I couldn’t post it. I actually put it in the title but it’s been changed by the looks of it. Its more like should I trust travel websites rather than going direct when it saves me lots of money. typical really that I booked three more for 23/24 whilst on board iona but still looking at more. Specifically school holidays which are more expensive so need to try and keep the cost low.

We wanted to go to lanzarote mainly as its come up before to go for a week but I’d like to see it first. So far we loved Madeira, very pretty. Tenerife was so so in the town but those pools made it for us fyi- no one mentioned the topless women. Gran Canaria I can’t say we liked but had we have had the weather we did in Tenerife then we would have been on the beach and that looked nice. we are in Cadiz tomorrow- if anyone has any good ideas let me know then we are in Lisbon. We have the custard tart to find on the list 😂

Just docked in Cadiz. The kids are enjoying the kids club a lot so we are hardly seeing them

At sea today. Should have been lanzarote. been to keel and cow. Wouldn’t recommend. iona had some power fail this morning and it bing bonged us all up at 7am. Luckily all seems to be ok now tried lots of fancy cocktails

So my insurance will pay £150 per person per port but seems I have silver cover which is £100 per person excess. so £200 in total for four of us. Better than nowt I suppose

Any idea what we are supposed to do when we miss a port? captain has said we aren’t doing lanzarote due to high winds and iona can’t handle which is annoying so is it claim on the insurance? Or do they give us on board credit etc? pity it was there as I really wanted to go. Wish it had been Cadiz or Lisbon instead

there has been a few I haven’t recognised, there is encanto on today, elf and jingle all the way the other day. I would say there will be a few to choose from when you are on here and then if he doesn’t like it you can always leave. I think arvia only has the high ropes which there is no way he will be able to go on I don’t even think my youngest would be tall enough and then the mini golf and escape room that is different. it’s a lovely ship. Slightly different experience to other p&o ones I’m finding. I think he will love it, my two do

kids club said 200 but they don’t alway have the staff for the kids club so had to turn people away. Only got 24 in per set the other day.

Amazing day in Madeira yesterday. Just docking in Tenerife so if anyone has any suggestions. We are looking at going to those paddling pools I think, and the market and the city. Not doing any excursions. some good and mediocre bits with iona but loving the holiday so far.

Currently sat in the Crows nest getting drinks. Still missing suitcases so can’t get ready for dinner and not sure where to go yet. Ship and the room is beautiful

feel like we’ve done this run a few times now we usually give a few hours leyway. Iona final check in is 4.30 so we should have loads of time. Only traffic so far is the m40 listening to 80s rock so having a good Saturday morning so far. Only 1hr 35mins to go but need to stop for lunch. although I’m not sure if I am going to like iona with that many people on.

Any idea what times the priority boarding is as obviously the higher loyalty tiers go first. Depending on traffic I may end up there early or later than expected. If it’s earlier I’d rather not try to find somewhere to sit in Southampton with two kids in tow. Thinking maybe 1pm- our boarding is 2pm but I don’t like to risk driving down too late
