So they did not cancel the cruise they are not allowing Canadians to come on the cruise is that correct. Thanks

Yes no Canadians unfortunately. We’re hearing rumors that it’s going to be canceled but so far it’s still on and that could be just because their website desperately needs help. My room is showing available one day, then gone the next when I do a mock booking. It says my cruise is 20 days but my room is not assigned (not true) so no edocs available. Just recently all the cruises on their site were gone but back the next day.

There is a thread a little further down that say MSc cancels Canadian cruise out of us, that is what made me ask

You are correct. MSC canceled all Canadian passengers from their US cruises including those on our cruise of 10/2. Our friend who was on the 10/30 received notification on Sept 2 from her TA.

  3. The app is there but when I put in booking number again it says not valid. Even cleaned out the cookies on both safari and google to be sure nothing was hanging around. They really need to get some IT people that know what they’re doing without disrupting the whole website.

  4. Here too🤦🏼‍♀️😫

Also just noticed on MSC for Me app says ‘ booking no longer valid” and it was there a few hours ago.

Ugh, I am not fighting with them again for weeks to get my obc back. It took me numerous emails with 9 different attachments to finally get them to correct their IT mistake when they changed the itinerary last time.

So far, I haven't been able to locate how to do that (another issue: Filing a SR and having two phone agents filing then re-filing another SR that was apparently not filed due to missing ticks in boxes). Would you mind sharing that email? TIA

Start with MSCExistingreservations@MSCcruisesusa.com. They took about 2 weeks to answer.

    Well now that makes 3.

I have copies of the Reassurance Plan, one with the October date & one without. And now a copy of the Assistance Plan.

To bad none of them are dated.

I will assume that which ever plan is in effect that it is yours upon final cruise payment.

My big concern was that we would become stuck in Miami if we had a positive test with no symptoms. I am sure last minute hotel prices would be high.

They all state ...hotel, meals & trip delays for covid quarantine is up to $4,000 per person.

A positive test would probably do for that. I would hope that the 'trip delay' part would cover airfare.

Mine are screenshots and are dated when I took them. Jun 26.

I think once we put down a deposit and sign their contract, that’s the date that should be considered and not the final payment date. If we have to abide by their contract rules why shouldn’t they?  Just saying.

  7. They can call it whatever they want and that’s the reason I take screenshots of everything on their website a few times a week. I printed them all out and will bring them with me on the cruise.
By doing that after every booking or changes to any of my booking, I was able to get my $200 OBC back that they took away when they canceled a load of reservations on our date. Emailing the higher ups might have helped with that too though. 😇

I don't know that it is useful to "blame" MSC either, but note that they are voluntarily following CDC guidance. It is not a requirement for sailings out of Florida.

Yes it’s maybe or may not be a requirement, however they could make it so much easier for guests if they reverted to their own testing again.

Haven't read thread yet, but yes, this stinks.  From what I've seen other lines are offering tests at pier.  They provide facilities but you pay for it.  MSC why not do the same?

People wanting to go on cruise are supportive of the industry while so many others say why bother with all the hassle.  I already had appts. for the 3 of us scheduled at day 3.

We are so done with all these changes every day with covid testing. If we wouldn’t lose our money, I would definitely cancel. Already rescheduled flights to come in the night before instead of two days, luckily with no penalty but how long does anyone think that will last? MSC needs to ‘man/woman’ up and do the right thing. So done with them.

My understanding is that they will still test everyone at the port as they are doing in Europe, even here People have to do a pre cruise test.

Not sure about that anymore. Just checked their website and no mention of it unless your on the cruise.

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE COST AT THIS POINT !

    JUST NEED A RAPID TEST

I was just being facetious if you didn’t get it. MSC advised their guests that they were going to test us at the pier and then changed their mind. Now we all know they need to follow the CDC protocols, but why not still offer their guests testing at the pier? Or possibly some local testing site?  That’s my issue with them. Why are we the ones who have to scramble last minute to find testing?

  12. MSC was touting originally that at THEIR COST, they would be testing everyone at the pier. Guess they ran the numbers and saw it would be more of a loss then it was worth. So let’s put it on the guests who need a spreadsheet to just stay up to date with all their changes every other day it seems like.
