  1. 🤷‍♂️ I've been to GSC once and didn't try to get one...
  2. You book them as an excursion for the port stop. They should be listed in the app, but if they're sold out you won't see them.
  3. I cruise in just over 3 weeks (check in on Saturday!!), no tags in my mailbox as of yesterday. I'm in an inside, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to who NCL decides to send them to...
  4. There are entrances on all 3 decks of the Studio section. My first time in a Studio I was on deck 12, the people up by the entrance complained because some crew seemed to be using it as a shortcut in the middle of the night and letting the doors slam. I do believe a complaint was lodged and the activity stopped.
  5. Encore is a BA+ ship but does not have Spice...
  6. In my case, I'm a solo and the people I dined with were a group of 3 so they had a spot at the table anyway
  7. "Freestyle dining" is not even having to make reservations for the MDR!! Go whenever you're ready to eat. Yes - https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/when-can-i-pre-book-entertainment Possibly, but not 100%. Also be aware that SIX is on current dailies but the last cruise on the Bliss with that show will be in Feb. I'm not sure, have you tried calling and asking? What is your goal for linking? Once you dine together once the hosts can see and ask if the other cabin is with you as well, this happened to me in 2022 and I didn't even plan the cruise with the people I dined with! ALL specialty venues are included. Same menu, but limited to number of items/courses (can get up to four - one salad, one app/soup, one entree, one dessert). Some items have an up-charge (looking at you, Surf-n-Turf at Cagney's!!!).
  8. Unless the MDR menus have changed it's on one of the 21 menus. I don't recall which one and it got the seal of approval from a Georgia Boy on my last cruise. I think that was Cajun shrimp and cheesy grits though... Quite possibly. I had the same burger on my 2022 cruise on the Joy and my 2023 cruise on the Escape, the Escape one wasn't all that great while the Joy one rivaled anything I get from a great local pub.
  9. Historically, no. Book the flat-fee restaurants FIRST, otherwise the system will try to charge you. The a-la-carte places can't be billed in advance.
  10. I checked for my January 27 cruise on the Bliss - shows as complimentary...
  11. I was thinking this might have me trying it on my cruise, but then I remembered how so many people said the burgers at The Local were better than at American Diner...
  12. Shows the same for my January 27 cruise on the Bliss. I believe on many of the Breakaway and Breakaway+ ships, if not all of them. It replaced the Margaritaville venue when the contract ended.
  13. To be fair - some people probably do 🤣
  14. Yup - that first one (and second for that matter) was Royal Caribbean from Cape Liberty, only a 3 hour drive from home...
  15. I may have made a snarky comment, but I also provided a direct link to the requested info! Don't lump me in with "them people"...
  16. I'm not questioning that at all, it truly is. Yeah, that was kind of a one-and-done for me, kind of like the bumper cars on Anthem (VERY poorly managed by the staff). There are other features of that ship and the cruise line that I like. Their next build is dropping the go-karts, leaving them with 5 ships with them.
  17. 🤷‍♂️. No idea, the tag was there and stapled when it was handed to the porters. My current ID tags for regular travel are MUCH more robust now and they make it easier to spot the bag on the belt.
  18. If only NCL had a page where this was explained... 🤔 https://www.ncl.com/latitudes-rewards-program Yes, sometimes there are cruises where you earn extra points. I got 21 points on my last 7-day cruise, in a STUDIO.
  19. The Platinum coupon is for the Platinum cruiser AND a guest. If there are two Platinums in a cabin they only get two coupons total...
  20. I haven't been in this thread in a while. I'm excited for you folks going on the inaugural, but this ship just doesn't look appealing to me for what I like in a cruise ship. That said - I'll wave to you folks from my ship as whichever of us leaves first is sailing by - I'm on NCL's Bliss for a Panama Canal cruise leaving on the same day the Icon inaugural is boarding, Jan 27.
  21. Yes, following cruise line directions! Interesting how that works. I since have gotten the plastic sleeves with wire loops to hold them on the bags.
  22. Happened to me on my very first cruise. I didn't fly to the port, attached the tags at home (before I had the plastic sleeves with metal rings to attach them) and somewhere between the drop off and the ship both the cruise tag and my usual ID tag got detached from the bag. I was at GS at 9 at night to locate my bag...
  23. These are the people that clutch their luggage like they clutch their pearls. As others said - bags can be handed over to the porters. Shoot - I took an NCL shuttle from LAX to San Pedro and the porter took the bags right from the bus!!
