  1. @cruiser2015 I'm in no rush to get off, my flight isn't until 7am Monday. Yes, I'm well aware of your delays getting off the ship, I was at the terminal at 9 am
  2. Same experience this week. And thanks for keeping the ship in top shape for us!
  3. I have a SleepNumber bed at home, this mattress was like a piece of plywood in comparison. I haven't had similar issues in other cabins on NCL
  4. The new rooms are "about" that they classified double occupancy cabins as single. There is no change to the cabin otherwise....
  5. I'm going to counter that. I've sailed twice in studio cabins (Bliss and Escape) and I'm currently on the Bliss in an inside (family inside to be exact) for the 15-day Panama Canal cruise, I would MUCH rather have had a Studio cabin. There's a LITTLE more room in the inside but the storage space is HORRIBLE compared to a Studio. I don't need a ton of space, most of my time in the cabin is spent with my eyes closed.
  6. For my first time in 5 cruises on NCL I asked for a topper. It helped some and was definitely needed if I was going to survive 15 nights in the bed....
  7. Thanks. I survived my first cruise from NY to Bermuda in April, this shouldn't be much of an issue for me. Yup, been there, done that on the Joy, and on the Escape last year with The Pour House (same venue as Cavern Club on the Bliss), and I've been on the Bliss twice before. Yup, been there, done that as well...
  8. Not everyone reserving tables in specialty restaurants is using a FAS credit...
  9. I hope so as well, as I board that ship on Saturday when they get off the ship!!
  10. My personal favorite at Cagney's is the OMG Caramel Butterscotch Cheesecake...
  11. I don't see the other topic so I'll answer here. I believe Food Republic is the only specialty dining open for lunch, and that may only be on sea days. I'll know soon, I board on Saturday for 2 weeks.
  12. Compare the break to that for the Joy, it may be an indication of what they plan to do. If it's short, the primary focus may be the technical requirements for a regulatory dry dock rather than replacing part of the OL as is being done on the Joy. @chengkp75 can enlighten us on approx. how long is needed for a dry dock in order to satisfy regulations. Yes, there are 3 areas of the ship that are key-card access - The Haven, Vibe, and the Studio area. All other passenger areas outside of cabins themselves are freely-accessible to all.
  13. Nope, I was more curious about more members of the CD staff.
  14. @cruiser2015 can you let us know who the CD is? Other members of the staff?
  15. Maybe. Something to consider is that the Joy was originally built with cabins where they're being added back. Bliss and Encore were not. Can it be done? Sure, but not as easily as on the Joy.
  16. You'll need to be careful here. If you end up with the first option you may end up with a cancelled return flight as well if they were the same confirmation.
  17. NCL has two different DSC levels - The Haven pays $25 pp/pd (concierge and butler NOT included in that), everyone else pays $20 pp/pd. This is different from the beverage service charge and specialty dining service charge that were paid when the cruise fare was booked.
  18. The Bliss is not doing a TA Feb. 25, she'll be doing a Mexican Riviera cruise. Or are you asking about the Feb. 2025 one?
  19. Could not be more true! Several times I had to prompt the attendant to take down my cabin number when returning. I can't imagine having to filter through the lists of handwritten cabin numbers to figure out who picked up and returned towels...
  20. Mid-2019. I sailed in April and there was a towel provided in the cabin. By October when I sailed again (on the same ship) no pool towel. Oddly enough - the April cruise was not one where a towel was needed but the October one was...
  21. But the bottom line is that these are re-categorized cabins, there is no difference in size or design compared to a non-solo cabin of the same category. The main difference is access to the Studio Lounge on ships that have it.
  22. You each have two free meals included plus an add-on of one additional meal each.
  23. Yes. The Escape has a LOT of free-use deck space on deck 19 (and 20)
  24. They hadn't as of March last year, and I haven't seen anyone here complain that it has. 7 or 8? The Waterfront is on deck 8...
  25. For that you may be looking at the Bliss, Joy, Encore or a Prima class ship, they all have observation lounges...
