  1. So glad to see this post. I was hoping we could carry on all of our luggage so that we could get the unpacking done quickly and have one less thing to worry about. One of the main reasons I purchased fttf. Since this is our first cruise we'll see how that all works out and make any necessary changes when we take our next cruise with our girls.

I've seen that you can take a bottle of wine in your carry on, but I wondering can you carry on a bottle of sparkling grape juice?

That's what we're planning to do. When I spoke with my PVP about it she said as long as it was the 750ml limit it would be allowed. The only question I have about it now is will we be charged a cork fee if we bring it to dinner?

This is what I'm bringing, it is delicious!

  3. I'm not a huge soda drinker, although I do drink it occasionally and I don't drink alcohol. So this could be perfect depending on price. I love frozen na beverages, smoothies and specialty coffees, don't really care much for milkshakes, but I would most likely purchase a package like this if it was available.

I think because for the 1st 48 hours they will price match anyone......just a guess as to why.

Oh ok. I was thinking there was a different form to fill out for the 2 day lowest price guarantee.

I was under the impression that if I found a lower price for same date, ship, cabin etc anywhere they would match it, even if it was a TA site. However when I tried yesterday they said no. I just wanted to confirm that they were correct not to price match as the girl seemed uncertain.

I was just thinking, if they only allow price matching from their own site why does the form ask "Where was this fare and the website"?

This was from a cruise site but not a membership one (don't think I'm allowed to say the name here) and I was only asking for the cabin rate adjustment. Unsure if perks were offered as well with the TA site as I was only looking at the price.

I just went through this same thing. Sent in the form on Sunday got denied on Monday. I ended up calling to be sure the reason since they really didn't explain. I was told they do not match any site except their own (except for the first 2 days after booking I'm  assuming). She told me I had until 2 days before sailing to keep checking the Carnival site.

  7. Thank you @Qchell. I called to verify and make sure the reason for the denial and they did say they match their own rates on their site only. So I'm guessing the only time you can match to other sites is within the 2 days after originally booking. She did say keep checking with a mock booking just in case. 😊

  8. I did submit the form, but the response I got was "one or more of the requirements have not been met and they went on to say the rates available were more expensive than the rates on the booking ". Of course they are now, but they weren't when I submitted the form and I have a ss to prove it. The only requirement not met I could come up with is if they only do the price protection within their site and not somewhere else (not sure if I'm allowed to put the site name in here). So I was just trying to figure out if that may be what it is.

  9. When booking the ES rate can the price protection form only be submitted if the cruise fare is lower on Carnival's site or can you submit if you see the price for the same cabin type lower elsewhere? I know you have the 2 day price guarantee when you first book, but wasn't sure if you could match prices with another site after that time has elapsed.

  10. This will be our first cruise and our first time ever purchasing travel insurance. I'm not sure what costs to include in the coverage. Do you include the port taxes & fess, pre-paid gratuities, drink package, excursions, etc? Or will those charges automatically be reversed by the cruise line should you cancel before the trip since you never used them? I know you include the cruise cost, any hotel charges that are non-refundable, and airline tickets (if applicable) but I want to make sure I include everything I should. Thank you!
