  1. Agree, they are usually able to accommodate changes
  2. Yes I do. Just read this thread and you’ll hear about many cutbacks. X is no longer the top tier of “Premium”
  3. The place is a dump but some seem to love it.
  4. Cabs are very safe and are lined up for return trips.
  5. Don’t believe everything people tell you. Sure, mistakes get made with baggage and not just with cruising, but the world is not out to get you. We’ve always had decent porters that appreciate a few bucks/bag
  6. Agree, we did that tour 4 years ago and it is very good. Great way to see the island
  7. Same here, booked an 11 nighter from Bayonne for $2700 , a std balcony for 2. A little research can save a lot of money.
  8. We’ve done the Karambola tour - excellent
  9. We’ve been there several times and the owner is great. They have modified the PAYGO option since Covid. My understanding is each person pays $45 and it entitles you to a chair, a shared umbrella, and up to $45 in food/drinks. If you do not use up the $45, you lose it. If you exceed the $45, you pay the difference at the end of the day. Seems very fair. beachbuddy - don’t stress over the little stuff, it’s suppose to be a relaxing vacation
  10. Thanks again! We plan on trying Bakoua and walking the town.
  11. Most private tours are very well run. They are usually less expensive and cater to much smaller groups, allowing more time to see more sights. You shouldn’t be surprised with the quality of Sebastian’s tour, it’s the norm.
  12. Can we use credit cards or USDs on the ferry to Trois Ilet?
  13. I’ve been on both several times and the Solstice is a much nicer ship. It is also larger, about 15 % wider and longer
  14. Great post! We will be in Martinique in March. Can you tell me if the beach (and chairs) at the Hotel Bakoua is open to the public. Sounds like fun.
  15. If I purchase a drink which exceeds the $ limit of the classic package, do I only pay the difference? Thanks in advance
