Yes there is. It happened to me also. If you call the number for bookings, they will credit your CC for anything over the deposit unless you are past the final payment date for your cruise.

Check out this thread on the ports of call board.

Well, I learned something new also as I thought both had to buy. That's great.

The journeys trips deal expired
This is a different offer. It's 3 day cruises up to 10/11 day journey cruises. Starts @ $25 pp + tax & port fees for 3, 4 & 5 day cruises with $50 OBC or $50 pp +plus tax & port fees with $100 OBC for 6 day and up. Dates are available through February 2016. We booked a 7 day on the Miracle for $315 total for two with $100 OBC,
We could have booked the Journey cruise on the Miracle for the end of January 2016 but we have a prior commitment.

I just tried to look up bookings for Journey's cruises and I was surprised to see $50 per person for interior on select bookings. I went through the booking process but the price jumped to the regular price.
Does anyone else show this? Is this a promotion rate for some VIFP members right now? I know I had the opportunity to book select Journey's cruises for $75/person with $150 OBC for the stateroom, essentially making the cruise free, except for port fees & taxes.
I guess I should have been more specific. In June i had the "free" offer for $75/person Journeys cruises with $150 OBC. I just couldn't book it. Every couple of days I just check prices for fun and I saw the $50/person. I'm wondering if others actually have this offer and it showed up on the search by accident for me.Yes, we also have that offer. There are only a small number of cabins and categories available per ship and sail date. If the price jumps when you do the booking online then they are probably sold out on that cruise. We booked our cruise as soon as we got the offer.

Which cruise are you on? We are on the 2/27/14 sailing. Have done the MR several times in February. The weather will be great unless a storm happens along. Low to mid 80's in all three ports.
If you want to do a whale watching tour, Cabo is great that time of year.
We have toured around Mazatlan in one of the open air taxis and just did our own walking tour.
My wife has found a spa in Cabo that she loves. $25 for 50 to 60 min massage.
PV we have done the swim with the Dolphins and once hired a taxi to take us into the country side to visit a few small villages. It was a great day.

Isn't Miracle going to Tampa and Splendor to the west coast in early 2017? I know a charter cruise is available for Miracle out of Tampa in February or so and some of the Hawaiian ports have Splendor listed for dates in 2017.
That's what is out there on the net but Carnival has yet to announce the Miracle and Splendor home ports.

Ron Glass from the old Barney Miller TV show was on the Elation a few years ago. Really nice guy. Had lunch with him.

There is no reason to get off the ship in Ensenada
Been to Ensenada 8 times. Get off the the ship every time and always have a good time.

We are going to be the Valor next month. I know that they have brunch in the dining room on sea days. Can anyone tell me if lunch is still served in the dining room during port days?
No lunch in MDR on port days.

Just look through any issue of T&L and look at the ads, pretty much explains there poll results.

There were 6 of us, we used JR Shuttles. $12 per person each way. Picked us up at hotel in Fort Lauderdale and took to the port of Miami. Told us to call when we were off the ship, they were there in 15 minutes. Took us back to Fll airport and even made a extra stop at Hampton Suites in Fort Lauderdale as one couple was staying over.
-
Does that include wine?
You can still take one 750mil bottle of wine per person 21 years of age or older.

We have stayed at the Queen Mary several times before a cruise. Love it. There is a free shuttle stop right in front of the Queen. It will take you to the Aquarium, several restaurants and shopping.
We have used "last minute travel club dot com" and have booked the Queen for around $110 per night.
-
OP, if you are driving , check for hotels that have free parking and shuttle service. Spend the night and take the shuttle to the port, then the shuttle will pick you up when you return.

It's very confusing on the Mexican Riviera cruise. The ship changes time twice during the cruise but are never the same as local time at the port stops. If I remember correctly, ships time will be 1 hour behind local time in PV. If the ships time is 8 am, it's going to be 9 am local.
-
It's about a 4 hour drive from Orlando to Miami, plus the time to drop off your rental. Hotels will be more expensive in Miami. Maybe drive part of the way that night.
-
We booked online, not with Carnival.
Here is a few pics.

Been there twice. About a $10 cab ride. Nice beach, good food, drinks are plentiful. They limit to 100 persons per day so never crowded.

Just off Southern Caribbean route on Liberty. Our head waitress mentioned after next contract of four months she was putting in for the Miracle as will be on west coast Mexican Riviera closer for her to fly home to Phillipines. Does crew know ahead, or is she summizing based on what she has been told so far?
Just throwing out what she told us.
The Miracle will stay on the west coast till the end of 2016. This would allow her to spend at least one contract period on the west coast. The crew probably finds out where ships are going about the same time we do on this site. :)

There are photos of Breeze cabin 6202 on cruiselinerooms dot com. We have had several 4J's and love them.
Sailing on the Miracle in February...Have some questions.

It's called LoLo's. When you get off the tender walk along the dock (it makes two right turns) till you get to Solomans Cantina. LoLo's is located directly behind Solomans.
