Capt. Johnny is correct for Allure. Just got off last week.

Not sure I got the gist of all your posts (I am kind of slow that way), but I was impressed with your story about Cobh.
We just got back (Friday) from a really great 18 day cruise through Asia on the Diamond Princess. It wasn't the voyage of the Titanic, but it did have a great deal of history in it - especially Viet Nam. I am working on the "review" right now and should have it posted on the Princess Board tomorrow.
Hope you will come back here and post when it is finished and a link in your signature. Thanks.

I've always loved the live plants on the ships and hate to see them being replaced with fakes. They look so, well...."fake".

There has been a Lulu's Bait Shack in Fort Lauderdale at Beach Place for about 10 yrs. Tommycruiser was saying that the web page looks like it's under construction. Where is Gulf Shores?????
The Lulu's in Gulf Shores, Alabama IS Jimmy B's sister's place. I don't think she has a place in FLL.
-
If you want to people watch this place is fun but nothing fancy more like pub food it's jimmy buffets sisters place I believe
http://www.lulusbaitshack.com/
looks to be under construction(the web page) but very fun
Easy way to get around we take every time
http://www.watertaxi.com/watertaxi/fort-lauderdale/
and there's a Hyatt stop
I think you have this confused with Lulu's in Gulf Shores:rolleyes:
Haven't heard anything about a new one in FLL.

Hope we will be able to keep this one up-to-date. It is good to bring the list forward every page or two....don't you think?

Why can't RCI simply make more "space" available for the character breakfasts?
If it's fully booked, add more.
Those are my thoughts exactly. After a while the novelty will wear off and they can reduce the number of breakfasts accordingly.

Cruising on Princess which is scheduled for embarkation in Fort Lauderdale at 8:00am on a Wednesday. Our flight leaves at 9:30am. Should we prearrange for a taxi/shuttle to meet us at cruise port? Tight schedule...are we going to make the flight connection?
Thx in advance,
bbunch04
I would be VERY nervous and you'd better have a back-up plan.
-
They are on Freedom too.
-
I didn't see Captain Patrick Dahlgren's name on the Current Captain's list - is he still with RCCL? I met him after the Oasis pre-inaugural and the ceremony where he was named a "godfather" of the ship. What a nice gentleman.
He was on Navigator last fall but I don't know about him since then.
-
Since we love Radiance too, I guess I'd better sign on:p
-
We just got off Freedom and had Capt. Rob for our captain. I loved his wit. He needed his own comedy show.

Do you know if Hyatt has a airport shuttle?
Hyatt Place, yes. Hyatt Pier 66, no.Hyatt Pier 66 concierge will arrange for transportation. We got a van with two other couples and it was about $7 each.

Will a taxi take 6 people from the cruiseport to FLL? Any idea of the cost? I have been reading they will take 6 people max. Also we are staying at the SpringHill Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port arriving on a sunday evening. Any stores, restaurants open within walking distance?
Thanks
You might find needed info here:
Of course, a regular taxi cannot accommodate six and the boot can only handle luggage for 2-3 pax.

Perhaps you can find some info here:
-
I knew they had done that on some others....just must have missed this one. Guess the most recent list and news is all we need anyway.
-
Guess I missed the change in threads:confused:
Thanks for your work on this thread.

OK, DH now has it on his Kindle. He said it was easy to do and there is an option for converting it from epub to Kindle. Just FYI.
-
Well, DUH!
There were 5 pages of posts and I only looked at the first page. When I searched further, I found it right away.
Here it is thanks to groo:
If you have an ereader that supports epub format ( like the Nook ), here is a link to SailorJack's reviews.

Not sure what epub is.....the pub part sounds good:p.
-
Well, I did find something....a listing of posts on NCL--the last of which was over a year ago. Thought about posting on NCL "looking for Groo" and ask him but it is doubtful if he has not been on a thread since Jan '10.
-
mmmmmm, no matches for "groo"
