Itchy&Scratchy I loved the flavored oil they are in too. I soak it up with bread as well. I do have to ask for more soft bread. I don't know why we have so much hard bread on the table.

We have visited many times. Love the inside the port gates (purchase RUM CAKES) we enjoy it! We felt safe and clean! We always book with the cruise line for excursions. I recommend not walking outside the gated port too!

If you used Galveston Express or Saltwater Moms what hotel did they take you (from Hobby to Galveston)? and how much did they charge you?

I agree with lv2cruisgrl. The last few cruises it was hard to find our attendant if we needed something. They have so many cabins now to clean.

I was just watching "Cruise Radio" on YouTube and it's true. Celebrity is now charging more for Solo cruisers. Celebrity said it's for the "off set of revenue that the second guest would normally spend on board".

At my office I have a few co-workers that fly into/out of Miami and FLL. They have come back with stories of getting into taxis and the drivers go the longer way to where they need to go. They all have their GPS up so when questioned the drivers, they get angry. One driver dropped off one at the hotel but it was in the back and they go to take a pee in the bushes in front of her. The few times I tried Uber there none of them could speak English so it was really hard to explain to them where I wanted to go. I'm OK with cruise line buses or the hotel picking me up at the airport. Bottom line - you do what you feel safe and enjoy your trip!

After reading that I don't think they would be a problem (great for people watching). I wouldn't want to cruise with the Hip Hop groups I hear that there's always trouble/issues on those.

We are looking at booking a cruise out of Galveston. We never been there so here's my questions: Which airport is the best to come in? Hotel, airport or port area and how do you get there from the airport? Cruise day, how do you arrive at port? (we are not Uber fans) We will get RC to take us back to the airport when we return. I'm just worried on how to get to a clean hotel and then to port the next day. Thank you for any ideas!

That's why we never set out luggage out the night before. April '23 we were setting in the airport and the person next me to got a call. She was told that she had the wrong luggage and her piece was still at the port. She was so upset and they we were ready to start boarding. She left it at the gate for Delta to set it aside for the person headed to the airport. Not sure how she got her piece back.

We were on the Mariner back in April '23 on the Mariner. Terminal 5 was so easy and saved a lot of time once we returned. We were off and in our car in less than 20 mins.

I thought of doing that but would the hotel shuttle drop you off near the RC shuttle to port?

Do you spend the night before the cruise? That's a great deal.

Thanks for the info port to HOBBY. I'm now looking to fly into HOBBY any suggestions for hotel for overnight stay and how did you get to port?
