Agree, the salmon is good. Actually, I think the everyday flounder is decent too. But I just noticed this rainbow trout, corvina, boston bluefish, coalfish garbage within the last month or two. Same with the removal of the shrimp dishes.
yum..."coalfish" - my mouth is watering

It will depend on your cabin steward.
And my steward's tip will depend on their response :-)

Why would a Haven guest want access to Vibe? They have an almost identical adjacent sun deck that is less crowded and more exclusive.
I never understood this myself.
I bet there will be a program at some point that Haven pax can rent out other pax balconies for a period of time, during which you'll be required to vacate it so they can enjoy the experience.
For your convenience, of course.

Can you pre-book a spot on the tiny postage stamp of public deck space that is still left after NCL's disgusting cash grab?
And say goodbye to a quiet, relaxing Waterfront. It's the only remaining space for the spillover crowds. It will essentially be a pool-less pool deck.
The fact I will never, ever set foot on the NCL Encore despite being a Platinum Plus cruiser is what motivated to book my first cruise with RCL this week. Looking forward to trying the Anthem! Looks like a beautiful ship without massive sections of it off limits to general passengers.

Shame on you for this, NCL. Shame.

I just booked one of the studios with the huge balconies.
I know from pics/online videos they have those 2 chairs with reclining backs and little footrests, but a proper lounger seems much more comfortable, and there's room for like 4 of them.
Has anyone ever requested a lounger for a big balcony cabin on the Anthem? What was the response? I've made similar requests on prior Norwegian cruises and they never had a problem with it, provided it's a balcony large enough to safely accommodate a lounger.

It can be a good value if you can score a last minute deal with zero onboard spending. It's the only way I cruise NCL. Otherwise, I agree. Dining room selections have declined recently, good luck trying to find a shrimp entree in the MDR. You get cheap whitefish, chicken, pork, and pasta all with fancy names. Drinks, shore excursions, internet way overpriced and noncompetitive.
all the MDR fish except the salmon has gotten verrrrry sketchy

I never understood why people think it's interesting to watch people doing laundry.

You'd think if someone is so nuts they lock them in their cabin, that they'd stick them in an inside or OV so they don't jump off the balcony. Unless there's some way the crew can lock the balcony door.

I totally understand- after so many cruises you can see how everything is becoming an angle. i.e. the service fees went up since I booked a few times.
One time I upgraded and was charged and extra $20 because the grauity rate on my UBP increased since my booking.what about ever grandfathering people into their rates?
I like going on NCL, but its becoming difficult to watch every little ploy.
They did it for your convenience.

No cruise ship has ever capsized in a storm. Ever.

Del Rio did me a big favor because his arrogance really made me look at the competition back when he took over. I still include NCL in my search when I'm pricing a cruise but so far they haven't come close to the competition in pricing. When we booked our Anthem cruise NCL was twice what we paid for Anthem. His quote back then was something along the lines of "Can I get you and your spouse to spend $5 to $10 more onboard?" and my response was "not without increasing the value that you offer".
As a Platinum Plus, NCL-only cruiser, I just booked a RCL cruise for the very first time thanks to Frank Del Rio.

Yes they would. You are about the most negative person I have seen posting on the NCL boards. Why do you continue to even consider NCL? There are a lot of other cruiselines to consider if you dislike NCL so much.
I'm not being negative, I'm just saying if you have 10 apples, and one of them is "the best" apple, then by definition the other 9 apples aren't the best.

Thats the fun of Cruise Critic...one person says loungers are in short supply, another says there are "tons of unused lounge chairs". No one right answer as someone always has opposing "facts". Maybe the next time someone complains about chair hogs we can explain the "tons of unused lounge chairs" to them.
It's not like they keep a stack of lounge chairs in a closet somewhere to swap in on the few cabins with balconies large enough to accommodate them if the guest asks. I mean, that would be crazy.

We were in a midship mini suite on the Dawn last year and asked for a lounger. No problem. Our room steward was the best we ever had. Can’t say the same for the other 9 we had.
Well if your steward on the Dawn was the best of the 10 cruises you've been on, wouldn't the other 9 by definition not be the best?

I think you have to take into account the number of balconies on the ship and the fact that they don't have a "spare lounger in case someone wants one" storage facility.
About the only place they could get a lounger would be to take one off of the public deck...which, I believe, would then make the person that has it on their balcony all week the "king chair hog". 😲
Yeah because if there's one thing in short supply on a cruise ship it's lounge chairs...

I've read a few posts about people with angled balconies being disappointed about no loungers. I think it was on the Bliss.
Has anyone ever requested a lounger for an Angled Balcony and been denied?

It's capped at 25 being sold per sailing. It that really going to diminish your status experience?
They'll scale it up

The last ship with Howl was the Escape, so there are four ships which have it (Epic, Breakaway, Getaway and Escape).
Personally, I love Howl on the Breakaway, Getaway and Escape, but really hate the venue on the Epic and have never enjoyed the show there.
In my experience, Sweet Caroline is played most nights at Howl. Repetition of certain songs (Piano Man is another) is a valid criticism of Howl as well in my opinion. I do think that are better at mixing up the songs though, so people don't necessarily notice the repetition if they go in and out through the evening. We often stay for the entire evening so notice the repeats.
More proof that the Escape was Norwegian's "Last Good Ship"

Put water from your sink in a bottle. Put it in the fridge. It will be indistinguishable from the water NCL sells you - because it's the exact same water.

I did some Canadian sailings this September. There were no children (I think I saw a baby somewhere). It was GLORIOUS.
Unless your tween is an old soul, she will be bored to tears. For example, one of the ports is Charlottetown, PEI. The big draw there is house where the author of Anne of Green Gables grew up.
Largest decks on Escape ?

I prefer the B6 on 9. The balcony is plenty big. More privacy. Also depending on how trashy the people are on your cruise, the M6's sometimes get cigarette butts and other garbage tossed down onto them. That stuff is less likely to land on a B6.
