If you have MTD you will be seated at a 2 top.  If you have fixed dining send an e mail to rcldining@rccl.com and request to be seated at a 2 top.

    Thanks. I opted for MTD.

Was hoping for details like which MDR if any is best for this, suggested times (I assume later is better), etc.

  2. I'm a longtime NCL cruiser sailing on my first RCL ship next month.

I'm hoping for some advice on how best to navigate the MDR for solo dining.

I often enjoy dinner with just a good book, and on NCL it's usually no problem to get seated a a 2-top outside of the real peak times. Should I expect a similar experience on Anthem next month?

  3. There is NO dollar more stupidly spent on a cruise ship then on bottled water.

For crying out loud, take an empty bottle, fill it with tap water from your sink that's probably cleaner than what you drink at home, throw a lemon slice in there (optional) and put it in the fridge. A hour or two later it's literally indistinguishable from what you pay for, AND you don't have to poison yourself by drinking out of an aluminum-lined box!

While we are watching others sailing out today & tomorrow, on the Gem & Bliss ... on the subject of beef, I think the mushroom beef burger w. bacon was good in OSH. It was big & edible and better than the ones in the buffet.  Haven't seen much comments from those that tried it in the "Locals" 😛 😋

Early January in NY and it's 47, going up to 50 degree F with fog & drizzle.

Those frozen fries look so sad. Probably not even salted.

  5. This is one fee increase I won't bemoan.

You can't turn a corner without finding a place to eat on these ships, and you also need to tie on the feed bag in your room? Then pay up. Otherwise squeeze yourself into some sweatpants and waddle up to the buffet.

There should also be a $500 fee for the disgusting pigs who leave their dirty trays and dishes in the hallway.

  6. If I sign up for the WIFI plan a couple days into the cruise, am I retroactively billed for the previous days?

Are there "a la carte" options in the library on the kiosks? If so what type of pricing applies?

I'm on the Anthem in February, and I'm trying to figure out my options if I realize I need Internet access but don't commit to it before the start of the cruise.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Pre-2015 dry dock, Gem's Bliss Lounge was just as inviting ...  No views whatsoever, lights on a dimmer ?? with dozens of loungers & oversized sofa and several beds  ... bring your own pillows, blankets & throws - optional.

Hardly anybody inside when we've roaming around, let alone seeing anyone taking a nice nap.  Remodeled since, last time we're there for the Latitude CruiseNext marketing seminar/reception - beds were gone.

Ok this one has me extra grossed out. Look at that! Foot and leg on a pillow, foot on the side of the couch. I am never sitting on any of the furniture on the OL. Feet have been, could be, will eventually be on every damn part of them.Disgusting.

The same pillow this sea witch is rubbing her bunyons on could well be the one you see other people pressing their face into and drooling on. So freaking gross.
