Really? "You better be wearing headphones." Where in the original post did it say they were going to be playing their music out of their device? Why the need to scold them before knowing the facts? You might as well tell everyone to use sign language because its the height of rudeness to make the unilateral decision that people around you have to listen to other cruisers conversation...

    Yes, really.

And keeping your voice down in public spaces is a good idea.

    Are you being serious?

Yes. If these boards are flooded with people secretly being paid by NCL's PR shop (not saying that is occurring in this review), it would compromise the integrity of the discussions. A simple disclaimer would help to clear that up.

No. “The cruise is fully booked and no room changes are possible”. That is the permanent sign on every NCL ship. They do not do onboard upgrades.

If they suggested that upgrades were possible, there would be 4500 passengers in the lobby trying to get one.

    That sign is a lie.

Recent cruise on the Gem there were major issues with my room. 3 different people at various levels of seniority told me numerous times the ship was fully booked and they could not move me...until it became clear I'm not one of the usual lemmings they deal with and I wasn't going to take "no" for an answer (I knew full well they had rooms available). Sure enough, magically, an empty room became available.

For the life of me, I can not understand the reasoning behind not including water in the beverage package!!!

BTW: we did get ice and an ice bucket in our cabin on the breakaway every day: didn't have to ask. But as I said in my review we had an unbelievable cabin stewardess.

    It's for your convenience.

Still don't understand why there is such an aversion to giving cash as a gift, if you feel so inclined.  It's a universally appreciated gift that no one is ever disappointed with.

It's because people who give little trinkets and tchotchkes are just doing so to make themselves feel special, not the crew. It's a disgusting act of narcissism.

  6. "3. We've purchased a Thermal Suite package to have access to an adults only indoor pool for the cruise, which also gives us ( me especially) access to a water feature with shade. Any tips on using the Thermal Suite package to get the most out of it?"

The salt room is a total scam, unless you like sitting in a weird Fortress of Solitude-esque crystal chamber. Also it smells like feet.
