Start getting a hold of those face masks, you are going to need to wear one standing outside Pier 88, MCT for embarkation, etc. - hopefully, the USNS Comfort will no longer berth next door at Pier 90.
If it's so dangerous you can't line to embark without wearing a mask, then it's too dangerous to cruise.

I have been on hold 1 hour and 15 minutes so far to inquire about my June 21st cruise out of NYC. I just want answers....this is crazy.
All cruises from May - August 2020 NYC to Bermuda gone from the website.
Frustrated here
I'll save you the time.
It's canceled.

I see we're all mostly still in the "denial" phase of the grief cycle.

I’m saying, the actual number says 63% chose not to identify race. I myself choose to sign every form prefer not to identify. I said on Wednesday with that graph cnn, msnbc, the times and the post would report that its disproportionate sure enough they did. Just like China reporting there cases if you don’t have the correct numbers it’s false reporting. How could you possibly no what race the other 63% not reporting are? I didn’t report my race when I tested.

I don't think there's any scientist who would say that a virus has the same potential to spread in the summer as in winter. You do know that the flu (a virus) season runs from Oct-March, right?
Except the scientists quoted in the article?

That’s actually not an accurate statement 20% black 15% white but 63% choose not to identify. The headline an editor wrote doesn’t disclose that because of agenda. Before you ask for source it was on the news with Fauci so I can’t pull up an article but I’m sure you can get the graph somewhere.
Even Trump's surgeon general stated the virus disproportionately impacts minority communities. Is he part of the same "agenda" you speak of?

All I tried to say is that the heat of summer will act as a huge, yes huge, mitigating factor against the spread of this virus.
That's a perfectly charming sentiment to express. Unfortunately it's not supported by any scientific evidence whatsoever.

Thanks for the kind words until you yelled "far."
Just to make sure you understood, in your post you claim than in hot climates there are cases of the covid-19. I was referring to that when I agreed that there are gonna be cases in those climates, just very difficult for an epidemic to occur. See, in that kind of heat the virus would 99% be transmitted from person to person and not by touching a contaminated surface. Too hot for virus to survive.
That's good, ain't it? Don't you like some good news?
Virus is raging in Florida. Pretty warm there.

So true, did everyone forget about the norovirus?
The norovirus doesn't pack ICU wards with patients on ventilators.

When governments inject themselves into cruising its fair to discuss. We would not be talking governments and politics if the politicians and governments did not get involved in cruising. Completely wrong that it cant be discussed since they are buying parts of the cruising industry for political purposes. Its censorship that it would not be allowed to be discussed in a cruising forum.

well you do know the president has done business with them also , many times. and has golf courses and property there.

Sailings in September would be a miracle, and that's assuming things got better than projected.
So far that's not the case. I think the year could be a wash.

And would CruiseNext credits meet the same standard?

It's actually the American coronavirus now.

There's no chance that cruise is happening. You won't see a single cruise ship leaving a US port until the nationwide trend in new COVID19 infections has been trending down for weeks, and we're not even close to the peak yet.

You sound like an absolutely miserable person. Someone who will look to blame rather than help. I will not get into a political discussion on a cruise board whether you think they are linked or not.
Curious how you have any idea to what degree I am or am not "helping?"
Someone asked about the situation in Florida, I pointed out the plain fact that horribly irresponsible and non-factual information from the very top that was contradictory to advice from public health officials contributed to many members of the public acting very foolishly.
If accepting facts makes me miserable, then that's a label I'm proud to wear.
That said, thank you for your post in a discussion you said you will not get into. Please have a blessed day.

"Pretty much everything" - What a remarkably broad generalization to draw from posts entirely limited to the subject of isolated topics related to a single cruise line.

Leave politics off this board. We get the fact you hate Trump.
Politics and the cruise industry we're all here because of our interest in are indelibly linked, my friend. It's nearly impossible to separate them when discussing this ongoing national crisis.
I'd be critical of any president that ignored scientists and other public health professionals, regardless of party affiliation. So should any other American that cares about the safety and well being of our fellow citizens, and getting back to cruising as soon as is safely possible.

Curious your opinion on how the "leadership"in Florida handled rhe spring break situation.
They were certainly in it for the 💰💰 , with total lack of regard to Covid-19. They were about a week behind most states.
I thought it was appalling. Those beaches should have been shut down 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the public got a lot of misinformation from the very top levels of our government about how COVID19 is just a "hoax" and how it's really no worse than the flu.

Wearing a mask would make it hard to enjoy a cruise.
