  1. Mahogany Bay is a perfect beach day. Take the ski lift(or what ever they call it() and get a beautiful panoramic view of the whole area. Get a heaping plateful of the nachos at Playa Tortuga bar. It's enough for 2 people and then some. Wash it down with some great Honduran beer.

While in Belize, take the Carnival excursion to the Mayan ruins at Altun Ha. It's a great Mayan ruins tour.  When you get back, you'll have plenty of time to stop at the Thirsty Lizard in the port area. You can't miss it. It's on your right as you exit the tour bus. I fell in love with Belize and the people. In fact, I bought 2 rounds of beer for the tour guides when they walked past.

  2. On our Dream cruise this past Sept., we ate in the steakhouse on the 3rd night, and we were offered a free bottle of wine. After talking to our waiter we decided on the red, as both of us ordered the filet. And it was really, really good. But we aren't wine drinkers, but this wine paired perfectly.

Just curious to hear from those who have booked cabin's in a GTY category, when did you receive your cabin assignment? We are 12 days to sailing and still TBA 🙂

The one and only one time I booked a GTY cabin, I got the cabin room number  assignment right after our online check in. But that was back in July, 2019.

One of the worst type of offenders are the ones that say 'I put my stuff down then go have breakfast at the buffet and then come back to my lounger'. WRONG and inconsiderate. Why don't you go have breakfast first, then go and get you lounger? The response is, 'Well, there won't be any loungers available then'. That's because everyone is being inconsiderate and doing the same thing. That's the ONLY reason you see scores of loungers reserved at 8:30am but nobody in them or in the pool.

If everyone just went to a pool lounger WHEN they needed it rather than trying to reserve one for 6 hours a day there would be constant turnover of loungers and always loungers available. If someone wants a lounger for 6 hours a day and won't be in the lounger all that time then rent one.

    ^^^^^THIS!

Back in the day, dinner was a social time that did take an hour plus. Nowadays, everyone just wants to eat and go. I miss the old days.

Agree 100%. As I get older, I find that assigned eating at 6:30 suits us perfectly. Plus, I enjoy having fellowship with our table mates. I enjoy a relaxing meal with good company. For us, it makes for a more enjoyable cruise experience. And I get it that the younger crowd wants to get in and get out as fast as they can, so they can go to the next show or whatever. That's fine to. Just not our style.

It's 12 "soda's" so I would think so. They didn't even look in our carryon bag in Port Canaveral last week, just ran it trough the x ray and off we went.

In my experience, Carnival will not scoff if you bring less than 12 cans of soda. We did on our first 2 cruises.  :classic_wink:

Of course.  You can use them to purchase Cruise Cash prior to cruising (remember that this is use it or lose it) or simply apply them at the port, at Guest Services, or using the Kiosk.  No issues at all.  We do it all the time.

As do we. We typically buy enough to pay off our cruise, then use a few to fund our onboard account(sail & sign card). It's worked out great for us.
