Sailing on the Paradise in 10 days and was wondering how they do the muster drill now. Do we watch a video before we board? Do we go to an assigned area at a specific time when on board?

sorry if this was covered somewhere else but any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I've heard they do have a video you need to watch, but I couldn't find it on our Vista cruise last August. LOL. Muster you will love: you go to your assigned muster station(ask ANY Carnival employee; they know exactly where to send you). You go and watch a 2 minute demonstration on how to put on a life jacket. They scan your boarding pass, and you're on your way. Easy peasy, no fuss or bother. 👍

Going off on a slight tangent here.  I've not understood the difference between "dressy" shorts and other kinds of shorts.   😀

Just google 'dress shorts" and you'll see the difference. Kind of like golf shorts. Longer at the knees, etc. Not like cargo shorts, or camping shorts, or gym shorts, etc.

    Good afternoon all!

We finally have booked our first Carnival cruise and I have a question.

I have a medical condition (not diabetes) that keeps me from having any alcohol. Do you know if they allow medical exemption so only one person can buy the package?

This is a fairly often asked question. The short answer is "no". And Carnival stands firmly on that decision. Sorry.

On our recent cruise, I think I ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees most of the nights. There were lots of things I wanted to try.

the frogs legs did taste like chicken.

I'd say it tastes more like a gamey fish. When I was a kid growing up in Ft. Worth, we'd drive every weekend up to our place in Clay County, where we had a place. 3 or 4 times a year, we'd go out frog gigging in one of our stock tanks, and we'd bring in a bucketful of frogs, and mom & her friends would fry it up in a pan. I really developed a taste for it. Mom & Dad considered it a delicacy. Fried frog legs, corn on the cob, pinto beans, and bread. Yummmm.

Didn't know that, that's why I asked so I could get more info to help you.

Don't worry about it. You were just trying to be helpful, and someone just had to make a smart ass comment, to display their(or so they thought) intellectual superiority)... which didn't work.

Check in is midnight EST 14 days prior to sailing.  If you live on the west coast that means you can check in at 9:00pm 15 days out.  You can choose your desired boarding time then.

Correction please. You choose your arrival time. Not your boarding time. That will vary with the ship's arrival time to the pier, the disembarkation of passengers that are coming off of the ship, how quickly the hotel crew can get the rooms ready for the next set of passengers, etc.  :classic_wink:

We will be leaving on the Mardi Gras next week on 9/10. This booking was made in late 2017 and was cancelled so many times that we lost count (1st being for my wife being pregnant and then the rest to covid). We were talking yesterday and it dawned on us that this was supposed to be our 10 year wedding anniversary trip. Is it to late to add a special occasion to the booking online or could I maybe tell guest services when we boarded? This is just very much needed and it would be nice to make it extra special. Thanks!

Not to late at all! We did for our 50th wedding anniversary. I let our PVP know prior to sailing AND to Guest Services once we boarded. They treated us very nice, with drink coupons, anniversary cake in MDR,  and champagne & chocolate covered strawberries left in our room.
