  1. Unless I missed a slot, according to cruisemapper, the Star is fully scheduled until at least October, 2025.
  2. On the other side, the shareholder benefit does increase for a longer cruise. $250 for over 14 days, would only be $100 + $100 for B2B
  3. Incorrect. I've taken quite a few.
  4. Or use my NCL card, pay $500 + 3% = $515 + 1500 points ($15) = $500. Save 30,000 points and use them for an upgrade.
  5. If you pull your card out of the machine before you cash out, the balance is always credited to your card. You only get a ticket if you cash out while your card is still in the machine.
  6. Casino uses cash. Only way to use a credit card is to charge to your room. There is also an ATM.
  7. I can't speak to the $800 although it's probably a cancellation penalty, but timing is everything. The airfare promo falls off at day 75.
  8. I've never had an issue paying the DSC ahead of time or adding excursions at the last minute. But I use my computer, not the app on my phone. Note, this apparently happened during check-in on a phone, which is a different process than paying for DSC or excursions - which are not accessed during check in.
  9. You can get a full refund as long as you are more than 120 days out. NCL will lower your price if their current advertised price is lower, all you have to do is ask. They will not honor any deals offered by a 3rd party.
  10. If it was an honest mistake or computer glitch (which is how this has been presented), then NCL should immediately reinstate any reservation that is ever cancelled under similar circumstances - I do find it hard to believe that there was no cabin available. A 24-hr hold, with a warning message, would be reasonable, hard to say if there was any warning given in this instance. However, imagine if the policy was different. Passenger suddenly realizes that they can't go on their upcoming cruise or wants to switch dates. Hah!! Just add something to the cruise, don't pay and NCL cancels and gives a refund or FCC. Nice loophole!
  11. Same for mine. And although I'm not always able to see embedded images with the program I use, the statements NCL sends are attached PDF files, no way to retract or obliterate the info.
  12. TV isn't an option on older ships. Unfortunately.
  13. There is no specific time for release, they get released when NCL gets confirmation of ports, etc.
  14. Anytime I've tried to do something that the system can't process, such as try to use a 2nd CN certificate when not eligible, the auto payment error pops up - so it's just the error message that they have associated with a declined transaction, whatever the reason.
  15. NCL was having problems with their app earlier this year, pretty sure there were several discussions about it. I had a cruise in mid-Feb and at one point got a balance-due message, for the amount of my DSC. I had planned to pay it in advance anyway, so paid it and they refunded it - I hadn't actually indicated what I was paying for. But every time I went to my account during that time, I got a link to pay my balance, which showed as $0. Recalled email??? Not really a thing as far as I know, at least as far as sending external mail. I heard recently that recalling emails might be coming on some platforms but not currently available. Attachments are stored on my computer as soon as they are downloaded - and as pdf, not a link to NCL. So who knows what really happened. In my experience, if you put something in your cart, NCL doesn't process anything until you put in the payment info. My first thought is that it's a glitch because of the payment plan.
  16. No real advantage to get an early check-in time unless you have a reason to get onboard ASAP. But everybody is different. I personally don't rush to get onboard, prefer to wait until my room is ready so I can dump off my carryon. But if you're wanting to sign up for things that might sell out like special services, shows or excursions, then early boarding might be necessary. Others want to take full advantage of their cruise experience and you will find them at the pool (weather permitting), with drink in hand, just as soon as the first guests board.
  17. The laundry special will be near the middle of your cruise. Lately, they haven't always been overnight, for example, they might give you the coupon on Wednesday or Thursday and tell you your laundry will be returned Saturday night. If you have a laundry perk with your stateroom/latitude status, you can do it at any time. If you are on a NCL cruisetour, there might also be laundry facitilies at the hotel, although from my experience they might not tell you in advance what hotel you are going to stay at.
  18. As far as I know, it can be used for gratuities on meals. Just not the daily service charge.
  19. So, here's my last experience. I had $100 in SH OBC. Bought $250 in CNC and charged $100 in cash in the casino. Per the app (no account info available on the TV), my account balance at that time was $253 which would imply that the $100 was used but the app can be misleading so I can't verify. Then came some excursion credits ($300+ in cash, reduced to $200 after FAS was reversed) plus another $100 in NR OBC for a missed port. Other charges came to less than $50. So $200 cash + $200 NR OBC less $350 in non-eligible purchases yet at the end of the day, I ended with a credit. Creative accounting at the very least, I'm not complaining. YMMV.
  20. Can't skip it but people seem to get by with using any picture that fits the requirements. They'll take one at the port if they don't like what you submit.
  21. You're a day late, dollar short on that one. E muster is coming back.
  22. I've been told that a mention to your PCC that you might be interested in specific destinations just might get you coupons...
  23. Bid offers are sent shortly after final payment due date - so if you just booked offers should come shortly.
  24. More to the point, how many people would go to their actual muster point anyway?? Based on the "me first" mentality I often see, many will head to the nearest lifeboat they see, not to the theater or restaurant that's their muster station.
