  1. Lowered mine big time. Repriced onboard so got a room upgrade as well. Saved over $1100 on that one. But it looks like they messed up another one, with minor savings and somehow lost the room upgrade I already had so will have to have my pcc check on that.
  2. My question is where are you going that requires a layover in LAX.
  3. Where are you flying to that there isn't a flight from LAX? Call NCL, they should fix it, sounds like a mistake. And for all the naysayers, they WILL correct their mistakes. Been there, done that.
  4. Club balcony gets a bag, not sure if that's per person or cabin since my experience there was solo. But I would think they might do additional on a longer cruise. Midway through the cruise they will offer a laundry special that is $30/bag. Again, possibly more on a longer cruise.
  5. I would recommend you join the roll calls for the trips - that would probably better reach your target audience for your questions.
  6. It all depends on where you are flying from and where you are going. No, never had a direct flight because I fly from a small regional airport so have to get to a hub first. But I have gotten a number of direct flights from that point on, especially international. So often flights from Seattle or LAX.
  7. Never seen a sale on excursions or add-ons. Sure, there will be a black Friday sale....but it will probably be the same as the Halloween sale and the pre- Thanksgiving sale and so on. And people will walk away thinking they got a special deal because they booked black Friday. However, I do seem to recall that they did have a special 10% off for past cruisers many years ago, so they could do extra points or double up on CNs over the holidays.
  8. Summer 2021 they more or less standardized their process, have a special department that handles all requests - it's not up to front-line staff anymore. They will give you 100% fcc of the difference for a price drop if you meet the criteria. It was originally 50% but they upped it to 100% at the beginning of the summer. Criteria for a price drop consideration is that the promos on your original booking must match - so if you took the airfare you are disqualified unless it is still in effect. Same for the 35% discount - once they bumped it to 40%, no dice. and so on. They are more flexible on upgrades but no freebies - only paid upgrades.
  9. That's my take on it. Just on notice for solos trying to get 4 separate meals for 1 instead of 2 meals for 2. Same old coupons on Spirit in Sept.
  10. NCL doesn't initiate the Meet & Greets but will help with organization if someone on the cruise makes a request. They will provide the space and refreshments. Whether Sr. staff attend seems to be up to the staff, it's been different every cruise. Nearly all the Sr. staff came to one, but no staff came to another.
  11. The coupon isn't really a coupon and isn't necessary. Instructions just say to put your name, state room #, and latitudes status on the slip. Hard to say if they really keep track or just check your status.
  12. Exactly what I was told, by the CN manager. Doesn't help with the packing when you don't know ahead of time. Have a 14 day coming up, worst case scenario, I end up paying $30 for a 2nd bag.
  13. No reason they won't offer a bid opportunity. Doubtful they'd offer anything specific to get you to move otherwise, although they have been known to award early bids to free up sold out categories that are in high demand. Had it happen, sold out Family OV, bid to balcony awarded 90+ days out.
  14. You might consider selling it if you can't go. You'll take a loss but better than losing it all.
  15. Flying to London in a few weeks. Fly from my small regional airport to Seattle, then to London. Arrive in London 9 am. Couldn't have done better booking it myself. # of layovers depends on available schedules. Return from London in August was direct to LAX, then home. Again, best possible schedule.
  16. Yea, about that. Missed Cabo because of a hurricane in 2018 😄 But here I am, still sailing with NCL many years later.
  17. To answer your question, originally glasses were allowed for the online check in photo. I used the same photo (with glasses) several times, then suddenly it was no longer accepted when I tried to use it in September.
  18. Was going to mention something similar, out of San Diego. Was at the port when that happened to another ship (not NCL) - they were also diverted to San Francisco. I was on a Panama canal cruise to Florida so we couldn't divert but sailed way out to sea to miss the weather, missing our stop in Mexico.
  19. They book whatever gets you to your destination for the best possible financial arrangement for them. For Domestic flights, Norwegian Cruise Line will book guests' airfare with a maximum of one connection when possible; air schedules permitting. For International flights, Norwegian Cruise Line will book guests' airfare with a maximum of two connections when possible; air schedules permitting. If flying from the West Coast to the East Coast of the U.S., we reserve an overnight flight allowing you plenty of time to get to your destination city. For cruises concluding on the East Coast of the US, you may be reserved on a flight that departs up to 10:30 p.m. depending on available inventory and to offer the best schedule. For cruises concluding on the West Coast of the U.S. with guests returning home to a city located on the East Coast or central U.S., you may be reserved on a flight that departs up to 11:59 p.m. depending on available inventory.Guests embarking or disembarking in PortMiami may be reserved on flights arriving or departing at Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
  20. On a recent cruise where I had a positive balance in my account they called (many times!) to have me go to guest services to get the cash. They would not refund to my card, don't know if they would have sent a check.
  21. Because you're probably not on a charter where NCL controls all the seats, not the airline.
  22. Haven't rebooked yet, can't come even close to the price & itinerary I had, March 2020 - it was one of the first cancellations. Just looked, my seat upgrade email says they started at $499 so you were getting a bargain!
