  1. Seabourn source is great......when it works. As long as you have your passport you should have no trouble getting on. You can also print or PDF a copy of your booking for safe measure.
  2. Plugra! @UKCruiseJeffthat baguette is a thing of beauty.
  3. Thanks for the Pursuit info. Sounds like a better update than I recieved.
  4. Hey Flying Scot, Should you be chatting up staff, any buzz on the Pursuit progress? Didn't sound positive when I was on board. When we were in Ittoqqortoormiit it was an event for the kids. They were hanging around the Zodiacs and helping to push. Fun. Your trip looks fabulous. Keep it coming.
  5. Oh my, Iceberg collisions, fire in your room, questionable food and staff. Sending you all the positive vibes I can for some improvement. At least you got an Aurora treat!
  6. @worcestergalI was happy to have my poles in Greenland. Even though hikes were short lots of uneven terrain and wandering over boulders. @travelordienot a big dance scene on the Venture. But there are oportunities on very small dance floors.
  7. Fabulous stories and photos. Thanks so much for taking the time to share them.
  8. Oh my. I stand corrected. My apologies! When we did a suite tour on our trip we didn't see them. I was thinking of the lovely spa suites on the sister ships. They have never showed on trips we were looking to book. But there they are on the deck plans. DUH!
  9. Love the Scots and always seek them out on cruises. Kilt or no kilt. 😉 Learned all about the Duke of Wellingtons dunce cap. Still laughing.
  10. I also must chime in with thanks to all the cooler contributors and especially to our leader the ever so gracious Miss M for keeping this positive and happy place alive during some dark days. THANKS COOLERS!
  11. Welcome home Terry. Glad to have you back. Look forward to hearing about your trip. As for the market, it's a dice roll. 😀
  12. We are coming off the Wind in mid November. I still have no idea what hotel SS might use. We're going to chill in Santiago for a few days. Such a great city. Yes it has had some issues, but hoping some of the shine is still there. We got a great deal at the MO months ago so we grabbed it.
  13. Staying at the MO this trip. Any neighborhood restaurant recommendations?
  14. Thanks for reporting. Glad you're safely onboard. The engineers were working overtime on our trip fixing HVAC and other issues. Mostly in the hallways. We had issues with our door to the balcony whistling. They did a great job, and said they were very busy attending to all the things that went wonky from normal ship settling. Hope they fix yours easily.
  15. Zodiac departure is about mid ship usually on the port side on the 3rd floor. Also on the 3rd floor are 2 rooms for boot storage and cleaning along with all the kayak gear. You can also store other things like hiking poles with your boots. Parka exchange is easy as it getting boots that fit. In general it's a very relaxed vibe. Especially during the day. Dress is pretty casual in Collonade. MDR, gents in collared shirts, occasional sport coat. Ladies in nice blouses and as some else said "fancied up black pants" 😀. There were 2 formal nights where folks spiffed up a bit. About a dozen tuxes appeared with accompanying dresses. But the more casual folks were not out of place. Occasional pair of jeans. No one looked mass market sloppy. You're going to have a great time!
  16. Thanks @Lirio for posting about the Wind and west Greenland. Would also love to hear more about your excursions and how things are on the Wind. Other than the shower issues, any other problems? Thanks again.
  17. Hi Lois, Glad you had a good sail. A short one is better than no sail at all. Thanks for the report. 😁
  18. What a great itinerary. Would love to hear your take on western Greenland and the Venture. Have a fab trip.
