  1. EV of $50,000 playthrough on cruise ship VP is? Cost of a standard 7 day VV cruise with in a Sea Terrace is?
  2. Some very strange dishes in the last couple of nights in Blu: Lamb: Ribeye: Salmon: Pork: Delighted to have been able to taste such things for the first time The kitchen is quite happy to serve people plain chicken & beef every night if one wishes. Saves them both time and $$$ Also many people are asking for different sauces/sides/presentations for their mains each night. Don’t like tomato, ask for your dish without it. Have yet to hear of any pushback
  3. When you consulted with the MD before the first nights dining about your dual food intake options, what was their reply? They were unable to accommodate?
  4. Just had the duck ravioli on the Millenium about 45 mins ago! Confirmed delicious
  5. We are currently on the Millennium from Vanc to Tokyo in AQ. Have had 3 nights so far in Blu Soups - Could use more flavor overall. I had a corn veloute on day 2, lack of flavor until I hit the single piece of chorizo in it which complimented the dish nicely (needs more chorizo!) Starters - Overall quite decent. Some excellent dishes like the lobster salad on soba noodles Mains - Blu is really standing out here. I had herb crusted lamb chops last night, medium rare, which were incredible. My fiancé had the glazed salmon, which she loved. The previous night the short rib really melted in your mouth 0 complaints about service, the staff are fantastic and do not ask for our keycards when ordering drinks as they have remembered our room numbers Obviously it will be busy around 7:30pm and one would expect a bit of a wait (enjoy a drink in Cellar Masters with the pager beside you). Come at 5:30/6 or 8:30 and there is no wait A lot of people mention the smaller portion sizes as a negative / cost cutting. Order more than 1 dish, they will serve you as much as you want. We are continually ordering 2-3 starters each and a couple of mains each (there is 0 need to do this, we are just enjoying all the delicious food and then not enjoying so much the gym each morning) We have yet to order from the MDR menu due to there being so many interesting dishes each night on the Blu menu
  6. You didn’t bother to read/listen previously so not sure why I am posting another response, but on the United app with the NEW PNR there will be a new LH PNR listed too (also shows this on the United website). Use that as your LH PNR going forward
  7. FBC saved you a headache as had they not intervened there would have been quite a commotion when you turned up to ATH to check-in (web checkin would have thrown an error) for a UNITED flight, before the staff there returned your travel party to Y on that leg — Also to the person who seemed to have used FBC to save $5 on 2 FC tickets, rather than booking directly, that is an interesting choice
  8. Won’t matter either way as the answer to the original Q is unknown
  9. There would be a note in the original email seeking volunteers stating that this is first come first served. Then the persons who are 101st and later (from your example) are now back on the cruise they originally booked, since Celebrity have solved their overbooking problem Don't use a TA if you are frustrated when their communication is not instant. Same with every other method of travelling & stays
  10. Ah, only your specific cruise has this October 2021 issue
  11. Fair enough! Seems quite unbelievable though, as anyone who tried to L&S in Apr/May 2022 onto these cruises would not have been able to get onto a room booked by someone who booked from October 2021-March 2022
  12. I really doubt that this is the case tbh. Celebrity only cancelled the Fall/Winter 2022 Japanese season (inc the TP from Vanc) in mid April 2022. A lot of people who L&S to 2023/2024 would have done so during those 2ish weeks in April 2022 I was one of those, my booking is still intact, and presuming it stays that way (directly booked with X, so I don’t have to fade a non-proactive TA issue)
  13. Be very careful with "definitive" info that a 3rd party is giving about Celebrity
  14. Original cabin will be tough as there were 2+ bookings for that room. Some people have been able to get downgrades (or upgrades) on the same cruise
  15. As you can cancel 4 hours (or whatever) before the flight departs, so its a freeroll to allow it to go on as long as that. Most airlines will give you X time to use the credit (12 months seems standard). So if you cancel now you get 12 months to use it. If you don't cancel until October then you get 16-17 months to use it. Many people might have no want/need for the credit too (no reason to fly if cruise cancelled). Also this is going with the idea that the ticket even has the ability to be converted into future flight credit, which many airlines outside of the US do not allow
  16. Why would one ever cancel a non-refundable flight, for travel in 6 months time, now? If there is any schedule change by the airline, that changes the departure time by ~2-4 hours (depends on the airline), then you are generally entitled to accept the change or schedule a new date or get a refund
  17. 😞 Can you give more details? When were you contacted about it? How did you book?
  18. at least the 2nd person with that exact scenario about delayed/no contact regarding cancelled cruise
  19. oh boy 😞 Did you book directly with the TA from the start, or move the reservation to the TA after booking initially with Celebrity?
  20. Yup, fully aware that a lot of people who booked directly with X also got cancelled. I was referring to why it took so long for OP to be contacted regarding being cancelled. If the TA is not lying, and they only received notice slightly before contacting OP, then it is like X did the following to contact affected parties: 1) Ran a query to find out who had a reservation with X, booked directly with X 2) Ran a query to find out who originally booked with a TA They contacted all in 1 themselves, and sent lists over to TAs for those in 2 But OP would have been in 3) User who original booked with X and then moved to a TA ie more sloppy IT work by X! Is this Aug 2022 date from X or from a random poster/3rd party? Agree that the earlier they let people know then the slightly better it is for everyone, hence why I do wonder if X knowing since Aug 2022 is just bs
  21. it has been mentioned in this thread Firstly this is brutal to both get cancelled and then also have next to no time (or details it appears) to decide what to do But I do wonder if this part messed you up here (booking directly with X and then moving to TA). It is like they pulled data from 2 different sources when trying to contact people and your fell literally in between. Other posters (in other threads) have stated that their TAs just got notified too, I wonder if they also originally booked with X before moving it to a TA X looking worse and worse daily…
  22. Going on my previous (3) L&S experiences with X, you initially get a full receipt without perks etc on it. Then within a few days (maybe 7) you should receive an updated invoice from them that includes everything you had previously. I think another department has to do it, hence the delay. You might have to reach out to them if you do not get it within a week
