  1. The next class of ship will have a market based mix of IVs and real balconies. I would expect them to do research on the numbers. I believe that Icon has 27% IVs.
  2. The point is that these higher level rooms are all real balconies and not IVs.
  3. It seems like some sort of compensation should be offered as they are taking away one of the main areas of the ship. I doubt that they will, but ...
  4. So how can we find out about these events so that we can avoid these sailings? I realize that you gave us a list. But how do we know whether they will be doing this in 6 months, 9 months, etc. This would be enough for me to rebook something else.
  5. If the IVs were better than a balcony, they would have put them in the suites ... Yet the premium rooms (suites and SVs) have real balconies... It is clear which option Celebrity thinks is better as they charge more for a real balcony on E class.
  6. I would not say that the negative side is louder. I would say that about 2/3 s like real balconies and about a third like the IVs.
  7. Form letter. This looks like a letter that they have printed 100s of.
  8. For myself, it is one of the reasons that I like S class and dislike E class. I like the quiet spaces on the ship. I don't need or want these spaces to be busy or packed. Perhaps it would get more use if they had better wine selections at the Sky Lounge bar.
  9. The positive is that you have more room in your cabin. I am sailing on a different cruise line due to the IVs.
  10. What? I can't understand your accent? 😁
  11. No challenge. She worked for Park West ... Qualified? Nope... Able to spin the bad into good, yep.
  12. And yet they take the best space on the ship... Is any compensation being offered? There is a solid reason some of us will not sail E class again ... S class has the gems, but why sell them to the highest bidder?
  13. We don't either. Never mind. We just go for the shows. Last night we went ... Skip to 01:07:00 😬
  14. So this thread has gone from zip ties on Celebrity loungers to jet seat reclines 🤣 With a brief interlude of zip ties and duct tape for hostages. ☹️ The price of entertainment on CC. Priceless ...
  15. It is for the uninformed art purchaser. If you are new to art, then you have to start some place.
  16. We get free weekend invites to Park West events. I have never gone. I view them like timeshare presentations. Not worth it to go IMHO.
  17. The lengths that Celebrity will go to, to make an extra buck ... I wonder what the cost is to rent out the Sky Lounge for most of the cruise? Note that they are not doing this to E class ships and Eden.
  18. They have moved on to other lines... At this point in time, you either sail Celebrity or choose something else ... They used to be the foodie line, but now Virgin has taken that award. There is no way to fix an Infinite Veranda ...
  19. I would not count the big box TA as a TA. You don't get the same person or personalization of a TA. I have tried them, but get a real TA ... My real TA has had to deal with similar issues with Celebrity ... Not myself.
  20. Why would you subject yourself to this punishment? This is why I have a TA ...
  21. How did you do the upgrade? Online? Through a TA? Through Princess chat/phone?
  22. So when you select Premier do they charge you for it right away or at final payment? How far in advance can you book a specialty restaurant if you have Premier?
