  1. Before an early morning excursion we get room service for breakfast. And then go to Cafe Al Bacio with whatever time is left before we head to the theater...
  2. Does Celebrity do the big cubes? Either spheres or cubes?
  3. Hmmm. Interesting. I think that all of mine have sold out. Good to know.
  4. I think that they did. I was curious if the BigBox insurance did the same?
  5. Now back to drinks 🙂 I just mixed a Moscow Mule. It was very good as I put a high quality ginger beer in it. Mixers matter.
  6. I would book early. Every cruise I have booked on Celebrity has gone up in price after I have booked. I normally book right as the cruise becomes available.
  7. For those that use the BigBox insurance, how have they been on payouts? Will they pay the hospital so that you can leave when you are overseas without charging up your credit cards?
  8. If in a large community the clubhouse, restaurant, etc. does not add that much cost to the quarterly fees. What it does do is give you a common meeting place to meet neighbors with common interests. Our HOA is mostly an older group, but they are more active than most 20 year olds 🙂 We do have fancy HOAs that are 3x what I am paying with outdoor misters, big screen outdoor TVs. Not my thing either.
  9. Hmmm. Canada must be different. For my last neighborhood they had built a mini mansion that was about a 1.5 mil property that was right across from a house that had 10 cars in the driveway. Sporadic upkeep of the yards. For the current city that I live in it is obvious which neighborhoods are HOA and which are not. The non-HOA neighborhoods tend to turn the houses into multi-family properties with many cars parked in the yard and street. For us, the HOA protects the property values and elevates them.
  10. We know that Allianz pays out as we had a family cruise that had to be rescheduled due to a last minute injury. Good to know that they are one of the better companies.
  11. Take the issue up with your elected government ...
  12. Add gyms, pools, theater shows, concerts on the lawn, and hundreds of activities for ours.
  13. The ones from the Westin were freshly squeezed lime. I am not a fan of mixes. Start with fresh lime and go up from there.
  14. While I don't pay much attention to the elevator music, perhaps Celebrity should consider upping their game. It does not cost them much, Sometimes it is the little things thing sets one apart... When I go to the Waldorf Astoria, they knock the ball out of the park in every inning. Perhaps Celebrity could aspire to be more like them. The differences seem to be in outstanding service and not doing silly things ... The WA bases their pricing upon their reputation.
  15. You are in the wrong HOA 🤣 Anyways ours charges 4 to 6 during Happy Hour. And the House Wines are better than Celebrity's. Go figure... Last week we were at the Westin on the San Antonio River Walk. They were serving $6 Margaritas that were better than Celebrity's. Now if you want to compare them to the Las Vegas strip, that is the biggest money-making venture in the world, then compare on 🤣 The drink prices are comparable, but the entertainment does not compare ... I make a better drink than any of the bars anyone has mentioned so far... Carry on ...
  16. Any idea which travel insurances will do this?
  17. No worries, you can have 10 of mine 🤣
  18. You forgot that other cruise lines packages have higher drink limits. For example Princess has their packages that cover $15 and $20 while Celebrity is at $10 and $17. You can go to DoTheMath.com but the Celebrity package is grossly overpriced.
  19. Yep. It depends upon what the OP has become accustomed to. I had a miss last weekend. Somehow I managed to book a hotel room that was smaller than anything that I had previously booked ... 🤣 I knew to look at the size of cruise cabins, but not hotel rooms.
