LOL dim sum style you say, push little carts. Think there will still be a riot as they couldn't come fast enough or often enough with all the volume that they push thru the big eaters on the ship.
I love dim sum! Carnival, add that to your list!

Sea Bass and most beef dishes in the MDR. Most of the desserts in the MDR EXCEPT the melting cake. Virgin Pina Colada.
Have you ever been to John Watling's Distillery in Nassau? They have a pina colada that is sooooo good. I had a virgin one and it rocked! Also, the house is a big plantation style house on top of a hill, about a 20 min walk from port (or you could cab it, which I have) with the biggest roosters strutting around. ☺️

I don't mind if they move to cafeteria style. I am a little concerned with the Guys stopping bar.
Thought I saw a post that a Carnival employee would be monitoring stations like self-serve ice cream and Guys toppings.

Also will the vaccine be available to all US Citizens at no cost or low cost? What about the millions of Americans that unfortunately don't have insurance coverage? Are they to be denied the right to Cruise just because they can't afford the vaccine? I will continue to take my concerns to God who in the end , really has the final say!!
I'm thinking that it will be a vaccine like the ones available at the beginning of flu season at drug stores, grocery stores etc for a nominal charge.

One of my favorite go-to dishes in MDR is the Everyday Salmon. Moist and tasty. I love Alchemy Bar's Caribbean Manhattan (I know it's off the menu😞) and if the ship has it, Mongolian Wok. Yum!

What would that mean for the MDR? I hope there would still be wait staff.

The three ports are Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston and Carnival has a few ships at each scheduled for sailing in August 2020. That should be after the CDC "No Sail".

Vaccines won't be required in my opinion. Vaccines weren't required for a number of other viruses, only the medical questionnaire. And then the questionnaire wasn't required.

To me, muster is comparable to the safety announcement that flight attendants do before a flight. Knowing where the exit doors, especially in an emergency could be the difference between life and death. Knowing where to go to access the lifeboats, same thing. I hope a way can be figured out that satisfies social distancing and the importance of muster.

I just did a mock booking on Carnival's site for Aug 6-10 on Sensation out of Miami. Still indicating cabins available and Balcony sold out.

For example, if a COVID19 patient with an underlying heart problem passes - it is very possible that the death certificate will list cardiac arrest as COD. This can help COVID19 numbers trend "a certain way" (down). Conversely, hospitals are funded differently for COVID19 deaths and someone who enters the hospital with CHF may contract COVID19 and die and COVID19 is entered on the death certificate creating a trending higher COVID19 number.
I have heard similar information that concurs with this.

SaintGreg writes a great review! And Mikey the Mounty as well. Looking forward to some interesting reviews coming up!

Just checked my September 2021 Europe cruise. I can order beer, wine and liquor for that cruise as well. I bet your selection will pop up. Maybe tomorrow....🤞

I just pulled up my cruise in September and liquor, beer and wine were available to purchase without being part of a "decorate your room" package. Maybe a glitch?

This is a good site to see the number of new cases by day, by state and by country.

We are booked on the Horizon out of Miami on August 8. We originally had the Radiance (I think) out of NYC on 7/20/20. That was cancelled so we tried Sunshine out of NY on 8/1. THAT was cancelled so our next one was Galveston on 7/25. Well, that one got cancelled too and I said, let's scrap it and go next summer. Hubby was insistent to try one more time so we are now booked on the Horizon from Miami on 8/8. I am not crazy about restrictions that may be put on us; he says we will all feel worse if the ship goes out without us. I'm trying to hold off on booking airfare for now, though. We also use a great PVP at Carnival (former cruise director) and he said while there will definitely be some onboard restrictions and changes, the cruise won't go out if it can't be a real cruise with entertainment, pool, etc.
Thanks for sharing what your PVP said. My DH and I are on a short cruise out of Jacksonville on Sept 3, 2020 and I hope your PVP is correct🤞

@Chief93 on our cruises we order at least one Indian dish because we know it will be delicious! I wish the buffet had more Indian dishes as well. If you dine in the MDR, there is usually a vegetarian Indian dish available. If not, ask. I hope your medical issue becomes something you can manage with choices that give you tasty food throughout your next cruise👍.

With our June cruise canceled on the Panorama we rebooked for the August 2nd sailing on the Horizon. It was a total gamble and only a 6 day cruise but worked best for my schedule. Having that said it was so cheap with the addition of 1200 OBC (we have 2 cabins) it was worth the gamble. If it doesn't sail no big deal we just roll over to one of our 3 booked for 2021.
Having said all this, I spoke with my PVP earlier this evening. She called to reminded me that I do have a deadline approaching to make my additional deposit on this trip with final payment not due until 30 days before sailing.
What I can tell you is this and I do this knowing I will be blown up by a few doom and gloom people on CC...
My PVP said. As of now, we are sailing in August. I grilled her on this and She said, its complicated and on going with all the work being done with the CDC but she was as confident as she could be that the few ships carnival has lined up to sail, will sail in August. Now to satisfy the negative people on CC, I have booked with this PVP for almost 20 years, she is the only person I will book with and I know her well. She's not lying to me or giving me a company line.. She reaffirmed that the ship will be at 50 percent capacity again and I believe this.. We also discussed what is going to happen regarding Grand Cayman being shut down (Since its on my sailing) and She said that's an on going process. They may utilize the Costat Maya or Halfmoon Cay.. She did say the private islands will utilized a lot with things still uncertain in many ports for August.
I did not ask about masks on the ship as I do not really care.
Now can this all change? Yes! This is just what was passed along to me and Im sorry if I'm probably off topic on this thread but I figured I'd share what info I had..
Sounds like your PVP has a handle on what's going on! I'd love to have somebody in my cruising corner like that!

So, how does one request a PVP? I had one many years ago and he just went away even though I booked a Carnival cruise (or two) every year and I never was assigned another PVP. TIA!

I would wait til they reopen. It's likely that they will not open at full capacity which may make day passes scarce of non existent at first.
Right now, all Bahamian islands are still in lockdown and under curfew. When the open, they will not be in full open mode for some time.
Third party vendors do not have the inside scoop on what's happening. The PM hasn't even decided when the will reopen businesses.
Has there been a tentative opening date for restaurants or are they all under the same jurisdiction as hotels? Here in South Carolina we have restaurants re-opening with 8 feet between tables, and hair and nail salons are able to take customers. Thanks Scubagirrl for any insight!

@Saint Greg I was doing a mock booking for Horizon and the 4J category is never available. Even way out in the future. Under "Interior", correct? Thx!

@Saint Greg yup, saw the door! Nice to know the window looking out on the deck is tinted. Thx for posting!
