  1. This year, for the 1st time on a cruise ,I took a rollator. I found it very difficult maneuvering in and out of my state room. Also in the buffet It was really awkward .......... Here's my question. Does anyone know of easier ways to get around with a rollator? Getting in and out of my state room , how to maneuver the buffet .What about getting on and off tenders ?Is that a problem? I was afraid to do tenders on my last trip and I feel because of that I missed out on a lot. I travel solo so I really had no 1 to help. Thank you in advance.
  2. I feel exactly the same way. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do.
  3. I believe basically what it means is when the rooms are linked it becomes 1 trip. Not 2 separate cruises. So you keep the room that you're in. As I mentioned, if you happen to have any onboard credit left over from the 1st trip it will carry over to the second. That's been my experience. I found that out from a Holland America representative when I 1st booked my back to back to Canada and back again. It's a trip I've made several times because it's convenient for me as I am right here in Boston. In reality it is 2 separate cruises. 7 days going and then 7 days coming back.
  4. That's where my back to backs go. From Massachusetts to Canada and then from Canada to Massachusetts. And never once have I had to get off the ship. In the beginning I thought that would be the case but Holland America advised me to link the rooms and I would not have to get off the ship ,and it worked. That's really all I can say about that. That's my experience.
  5. Sorry, didn't realize it was false information. That's what I was told by holland America. If you have a problem you may wanna call them. But I've never ever had to get off the ship when my rooms were linked. And I've made several back to back cruises
  6. I'm from Massachusetts .what is YUL?
  7. I travel solo and for my upcoming 3 cruises I have requested a table for 2. It is nice to talk to people. But I like some alone time too
  8. I also also travel solo. Currently I am a 3 star mariner working very hard to be a four star mariner. Would love to have free laundry ! However, I have never been offered any upgrades ever. Am I doing something wrong here? Are the offers based on mariner status? I have never checked off anything that said I don't want an upgrade.
  9. If it's on the same ship just link the rooms and you don't have to get off the ship to get back on again. That's what they tell me when I do my b2bs and I've never had to get off to get back on again. Also, if the cruises are linked any credit you have left over on the 1st leg of your journey will carry over to the second part of your journey.. That's always been my experience.
  10. I feel it's getting harder and harder to do business with them. Frustrating
  11. No. Room service and minibar are not included in the HIA.
  12. In October of next year I'm going to the Panama canal. How do I go about finding accessible tours in that area? Actually, how do you find accessible tours for any part of the world? I guess I don't know how to word it when I put it into google. I don't find anything
  13. Yes I do. Why ,have things changed?
  14. I did that once and the woman I asked gave me a look that could literally kill. She never said a word just a horrible look
  15. I've never heard of this. Can you share any information on how I can do this? If it's too much trouble don't bother. Thank you
  16. I think it's a risk you take and the responsibility you have to accept. You know there's a chance that could happen when you book guaranteed. I certainly don't wanna pay more money. I travel solo so it cost me double already but I'm afraid. I don't wanna get to the port and not have a room.
