  1. After our one and only urgent requirement for the NHS, I can't praise our hospital high enough. From the speed of the paramedics arrival,10mins, his assessment on arrival at the hospital, treatment and care were amazing. All this at a busy time, 28th Dec and during the doctor's strike. I know the NHS is struggling and many have issues with them but I can only speak as I find. Avril
  2. So pleased for you Josy. You can now look forward to your much needed cruise. I'm sure all the good wishes and crossed 'everythings' helped a little😊 Avril
  3. We have a soulangeana magnolia which is a tree, but prune it back every so often to keep it from becoming too large. There are smaller ones for small gardens or even for pots if you were interested in having one. . Avril
  4. @Josy1953 I hope you get the all clear from your GP today. I'm keeping my everything crossed for you🤞 Avril
  5. It will most likely be slugs Mb. The beautiful Camelia is a lovely reminder of your father. I have 3 surviving rose bushes that dad planted in 1967 and were moved into my garden when he died in 1991 Every spring when they come to life I feel a part of him is still with me. Avril
  6. Wow, that breakfast disappeared pretty sharpish Graham😁 Avril
  7. Our Magnolia is in full flower too and we hae a weeping cherry that has flower buds coming on as well. Seems Spring has sprung early this year. Avril
  8. There are some that are not accesible cabins but very few. We tried to book one in 2022 and were told that they book up very quickly on release. I'd ring them up and ask, it's worth a try. Avril
  9. @grapau27 A Very Happy Birthday to Pauline💐 She shares the day with my lovely sister who is also celebrating today. Avril
  10. Well we don't use salt any longer kalos so I have to do something with it 😁 Avril
  11. I take 25% of what I read in the media with a very large spoonful of salt.😏........ and the remaining 75% with a truck load😉 Avril
  12. Maybe they thought that not publishing any photo this Mother's Day would give the awful gossip mongers more fodder. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't. They need to be left alone. Avril
  13. Which only proves that our late Queen was correct with her well known adage. Royal they may be, but they are entitled to their privacy. Avril
  14. @grapau27 I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Sarah's father. I'm sure that the love of both you and Pauline will be a great strength and comfort to her during this sad time. The meal out together last night was a good thing, and the photos were lovely. My deepest condolences to you all. x Avril
  15. I really do wish you luck bro, and hope you have a good day. Your story is interesting and I'm pleased that after all this time everything is finally coming together for you. Regardless of your begining bro, the most important thing is how you have grown and worked hard to become the great guy are today, with your determination and the love of your adoptive family. Sis p.s not THE Davina Mcall?
  16. Hope all goes well for you at the hospital kalos. Who who🦉 Yes you😁 Avril
  17. Thank you Mrs K I'll look for that. I like to keep a couple of tins in for when we fancy a tuna sandwich😊 I buy frozen tuna steaks a lot too. The ones at Asda are really nice, not as good as fresh tuna obviously, but needs must. Two steaks in a pack are £5,but they are on offer at the moment at 3 packs £10 so I always stock up. One steak is 0.26g salt, so that's fine. I think?🤫 I hope😕 Avril
  18. 'Dad, where are the Alps?'🤫 'Ask your Mum, she puts everything away'😁 Now a true Dad and daughter tale.....When the Elvis film 'Loving You' was on at the local cinema, I was about 10 maybe?, I wanted to go but dad said I was too young to go on my own, After much begging and sulking dad took me. I'll never forget the memory of him sitting in that cinema surrounded by screaming, swooning and crying females.🥴 It must have been sheer torture for a man whose favourite singer was Teresa Brewer Avril Thinking back now, Dad also loved listening to Jane Morgan too, 'The day the rains came' was one he played a lot on his old record player
  19. How times change. It used to be 'eat up or there's no pudding'😁 Avril
  20. @Selbourne I've followed your cruise from booking, amendments, additions and upgrades and have enjoyed every minute. I've enjoyed the photos that took me to places I've never been and the descriptive write ups that had me smiling with delight, and sometimes crying with laughter, but have also been concerned over your health. I know how time consuming this long blog must have been, and I thank you so much for taking the time to bring us all along with you on your long cruise. I hope the last few days of your cruise will be more relaxed and trouble free. Fair wnds and following seas. Avril
  21. @grapau27 Always remember the good times Graham, and keep them close to your heart. My wonderful and much loved Dad died Aug 8th 1991 and I still miss him every day, but he has never left me as I hold all our wonderful times together throughout the years in my heart. Have a lovely day remembering and feeling thankful for all the happy times you spent with your Dad throughout the years. Avril x
  22. Mrs brian must have been very disappointed.😒 I know I would have been😉😁 Sis
  23. Welcome home. I enjoyed reading all about your holiday and seeing all the photos. Thank you. We all have our own tricks to try and combat jet lag on long haul flights. We would set our watches to UK time after take off when the seat belt signs were turned off, and then only used UK time to try to gradually adjust. It didn't work 100% of the time, but worked more often than not. Avril
  24. Many congratulations to you both on the safe arrival of your beautiful grandson.💐 Avril
