  1. I don't have gas zap only electricity, and the central heating is solid fuel. Before this recent increase our electric bills were averaging £135 month. I don't have a tumble drier or dishwasher, just the normal fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, cooker,(but now using air fryer instead) shower, tv, lighting etc. I've yet to see if, or by how much the solid fuel prices have increased🤞 Avril
  2. I paid our first (increased) electric bill yesterday, and I'm sure the air fryer was a very useful investment. It was only 26 days instead of the usual month so I divided the bill (before the discount) by 26, multiplied it by 30 and estimated the approx increase from last month. If my calculations are correct🤔??? then it is a monthly increase of about £22 We've used the same appliances as we normally would, so any saving is down to the air fryer. Maths isn't my strongest suit so I may have got this totally wrong. 🥴 All replies gratefully accepted😊 Avril .
  3. Happy birthday Presto. The perfect day for spoiling yourself so shop til you drop😁 Avril
  4. It's not my 'air that's the problem bro, it's the rest of me😏 Sis
  5. I remember her, actress and singer. I love the old fashioned musicals and remember her from those. A very pretty lady with a lovely clear voice. Avril
  6. I agree with you. I avoid having my picture taken whenever possible. ''The camera adds 10lbs'' so it's said, but if that's true why does Frank always look like the 'Silver Fox' and I look like Mrs Blobby?😒 Avril
  7. Happy birthday Graham, and have lovely meal tonight with your two favourite ladies.🥂 Avril
  8. Why would he do that? Protein is good for you😊 Avril
  9. I've found a conversion calculator on line and bookmarked it. Converts oven temp and cooking time from oven to air fryer, and it's worked really well. It's lovefoodnotcooking.com/air fryer calculator Avril You'll have to type it in yourself Bob, I haven't a clue how to do it like others do on here so that you can click straight on to it🥴
  10. I went for a Uten 5.5 ltr Air Fryer, £78, and so far so good. I still need the oven for pizza (too big to fit in the basket) and oven baked risotto(it won't cook rice dishes) but I have only used the oven 3 times in 4 weeks when it's normally once sometimes twice a day. Every little helps. Look after the pennies ect, ect............ Avril
  11. Many congratulations Mr & Mrs kalos. Our children are wonderful and our grandchildren are an absolute delight. Avril
  12. I hasten to add, that the little plastic containers I use are washed, dried and reused for the next next holiday😉 Avril
  13. I'm a little mystified over the problem of lack of supplied toiletries in cabins! Simple solution, take your own. I've never used the toiletries supplied and much prefer my own brands. I take travel sizes or transfer some into small plastic bottles. Avril
  14. A really miserable morning here. Raining heavily and so dark I've had to put the lights back on. Worse to come with thunder storms forecast for this afternoon. Seems as though a lazy day of reading and catching up on CC is on the cards. Stay warm and dry everyone and enjoy your day whatever you have planned. Avril
  15. I hope all goes well on Monday Ann. Such a sad time, but you will have many wonderful memories of your Mum that will last forever. Avril
  16. That is the one area where P&O excel, imo. Avril
  17. We love Aurora and have sailed on her a few times. We also tried Oriana and even though she was similar, having a tiered stern, we somehow found it difficult to find our way around. I know she was a favourite of many, but for some reason we couldn't feel comfortable on her. Avril
  18. Oh I see. A very long story full of hot air.🤔 Nothing new then.😁 Avril
  19. If they are a decent size with no blemishes, wrap each one in brown paper and store in a cardboard box in a pantry or cupboard. Check weekly as they ripen. We do that and if any soften as they ripen I make them into a pasta sauce and freeze in 400g tubs. Avril
  20. Raining here and 13c. I won't be picking any rasberries to have with breakfast this morning that's for sure. On the other hand, the lawn seed we put down yesterday will love it. Avril
