Old Fart Cruisers

Just made the final payment for a 14-day Alaskan cruise in April. We booked this one almost a year ago, but it looks like we are actually committed to it now since we made the final payment 🙂

Obviously use both of them. That's the reason they put two handles on luggage 😁. What could go wrong?

You don't have to take another cruise before your 8-day cruise. You will be gold from the start of your cruise, as long as you make gold by the end of that cruise. That said, the only differences in being gold are: 1) Appreciation drink on 5+ day cruises Redeemable at any bar on the last evening of the cruise after 5 p.m. 2) Gold VIFP pin on every sailing Redeemable at the Photo Gallery no later than two days before the end of the cruise Have a great cruise🙂

In September on Venezia, when I went to drop off my carry on bags in the room, the room steward walked by and said "your room is ready, if you want to stay". I was really surprised because it was still pretty early, and the ship was full. We wanted to explore the ship, so we didn't take him up on the offer to stay. Not anything I would EXPECT in the future, and I would never bother the steward to ask if we could stay, but it was really nice of him to offer.

If it's an Elite Cruise out of Galveston and Houston is the closest large airport, I can't imagine how they could NOT include that distance. Also, it doesn't even have to be from an airport. We did a cruise on Royal Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, then connected to an Elite Cruise out of Miami and used the Elite transportation between ports.

Is the transportation only available on the day of the cruise or can we arrive a couple days before and be driven to the port? No problem using the translation on different days. We did a B2B 6-day Elite and 15-day not Elite. No problem having the return 15 days after the end of the Elite cruise, although I did have to call to have the return date overwritten because the online form only allows up to 20 days between drop off and pick up. Any info about the prizes, contests and perks? The last Elite we were on had FILL MY BAG (I was the big winner!) MATILDA, THE CASH COW HOT SEAT

This is what we got in October. They are really cheap plastic luggage tags (only one tag, not even a set). Not anything like the nice luggage tags that they gave out a few years ago. One of them cracked the first time we used it.
