Platinum laundry question
Old Fart Cruisers replied to SCcruiser123's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Stack all of your items smooth and flat and fold the sleeves in, then roll everything together tightly into one big roll. Stand the roll on end and have someone slide the bag down over it. It's okay if it sticks out a little bit. Fill in any gaps with small items. We have had one bag returned in three bags quite often (never less than two bags) -
Platinum laundry question

I hope this perk was just inadvertently left off. Please report back to let us know what happens when you sail. When you say you got a note. . . Was that in an email from Carnival? -
Platinum laundry question

It doesn't matter if they turn platinum at any time during the cruise, they will be platinum from the time they board and can send their laundry on the first day. -

Ian Firth, a British structural engineer and bridge designer, reviewed video footage and said there appeared to be at least two protective objects in the water next to the Key Bridge. The objects, known as “dolphins,” are supposed to protect maritime structures from being hit by vessels. But Dali, the container ship that struck the bridge, appeared to have come in “at an angle,” Firth said, which means the devices were unable to prevent the ship from striking the bridge, sending part of it tumbling into the water

as you said, the wheels are already spinning fast! President Biden said at a midafternoon address that the federal government will pay for the cost to rebuild the crumpled bridge and called on Congress to support his plans. The key priority is search and rescue, Biden said, but he said officials will work to rebuild and reopen the Baltimore port “as soon as humanly possible.” He said 15,000 jobs depend on the port

I wonder if dropping anchor "as part of its emergency procedure after losing propulsion" could have caused the sudden change in direction, heading her into the bridge support column rather than centered between the span? The DALI container ship that struck Baltimore's Key Bridge dropped its anchor prior to impact as part of its emergency procedures after losing propulsion, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said in a statement Tuesday

An emergency call from the container ship gave officials time to begin closing the Francis Scott Key Bridge to vehicle traffic before the ship slammed into it, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said on Tuesday. The DALI container ship that struck Baltimore's Key Bridge dropped its anchor prior to impact as part of its emergency procedures after losing propulsion, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said in a statement Tuesday.

Looking at the pictures of the damage, it doesn't look nearly as bad as last time. I wonder if just the damaged section of the fiberglass could be replaced and repaired instead of replacing the whole whale tail. Seems like that would be a much quicker fix.

Yes you would need the ship's wifi to access the internet. the difference is if you are than using the computer's hotspot so that multiple other devices can access the internet while only paying for one device.

It is clearly against Carnival's rules. Is it any different than sneaking alcohol on board so you don't have to pay for drinks on Carnival's ship, or what's the best way to smuggle illegal drugs without getting caught. Carnival has rules, why not just follow them or find a cruise line with rules that you like?
