for me it is not about how we like O, or how we like others... its about the way lines raise their prices... raise the rate, fine...but dont start fudging with the new SM that you have just rolled out and want people to swallow....give them time to digest it before you change it again... yes some need a longer time to digest than others...but only a couple of months of SM is just too short to already introduce a change....bad policy decisions...

yes I agree with that...I dont agree with taking a lot of clothes... so many lost their suitcases that it was an ongoing topic on the ship.... the laundry is fabulous....

dont see why vista would be any diff than the other O ships... just got off 20 days on Marina, TA, Spain, Portugal, Carib jeans, shorts... in dining room, casual pants, even jeans with collar shirt.....in specialties also... love O how casual it is...we travel with carry ons and do laundry....

Just off Marina, the best meals we had were on Jacques, dover sole, crepes, best baguettes. Will miss Jacques.

I complained about multiple issues on the Marina, we are on a BtoB , at reception two days ago. Was told someone would be in touch with us. Nothing yet.

On marina now...the ship is in good shape. But the food has been awful. Yup I'm picky. It's our 8th O cruise. I should post a new topic.

Yes we had that one booked before turkey and Israel were Removed. No way am I flying from Valetta for that one. Too many layovers. We have been fortunate, in all of our years of cruising we have never needed a TA to intervene on our behalf. But also have never benefitted from a quiet sale. Yes if a quiet sale would become known to me , I'm sure any agent could book it.

Wish I had a TA that knew anything about quiet sales...that's better than a rebate.

Our Alaska for Sept, cat B1 is 600 less than price before sale. We are on the Marina and yes onboard perks are combinable with sale.

Look at the price on line, then call an O rep or your agent. They will give you the new reduced price.

We will do Alaska next Sept again. The sale is 600 off a B1 cabin. Had the O rep book it. Just not sure of the cabin location, will speak with the ambassador since we are on the Marina right now.

Yes Feta, my O rep booked an Alaska cruise for me, 600 off a B1 for Sept. Just not sure of the cabin. We are on the Marina now, so will check it with ambassador. It is mid ship on 6, life boats right below. Because it is with " the booked on ship", we have the best price guarantee, in case a better sale comes along.

Yes wish you were with us Feta...we didn't get to spend any time with you. If Alaska is on sale, we will book it again. It will be our third time there but never get tired of it.. Sept 14. Come with us. Next year we are pretty much staying on the continent.

Yup my O rep called me. It will be on the 14th. No clue what it will be. We are on our way now to Barcelona and will be on the Marina on Monday. So guess it is best to book on ship. Not sure I'd sale is combinable with booking on the ship perks. Will find out next week. Thanks Jan.

Even if the statement " nothing more is expected" was added, there would be those who would still do the palm or envelope to " feel better ". I even witnessed some using their OBCs in the stores to buy merchandise for their attendants. They proudly made that fact known.

You are right of course.

The auto tip is now expected, no longer seen as a tip but part of wages. Next comes, how much is enough in the envelope or palm. Many have said, including me, it seems to never be enough, as there is a competition for who can leave more. I wish I could say, I feel good after extra tipping but more and more it has become a guessing game of how much should I give in order for it to be enough, in order for me to feel good. Of course I see no solution. There will always be upmanship. You can see it even here, those who say how good they feel after leaving an undisclosed amount in the envelope or palm.

Completely understandable that Morocco is cancelled.
