  1. Yup I hear you, but hard to say no to a rebate check we just received from the agency we dealt with, for 2 back to back cruises, sept 7 to 27, for $695 US.
  2. And I have been criticized for saying it too often, someone even suggested I was an O plant...lol...
  3. We are Celeb refugees as well, with over 50 cruises. Now only with O, 6th and 7th coming up in Sept. And in TO as well.
  4. Just to add to that, I have been told that if I had the right agent, all this would have been settled months ago. As it is, it is left up to luck.
  5. We are also waiting to be assigned, sailing on sept 7 and have a balcony cabin, but the next leg, sept 20, LA to LA, we have an inside guarantee. All is sold out. We will be on the ship, so if not yet assigned, will be able to check once it comes through and if in the very nose or the very aft, will do our best to get something more mid ship. Yes, inside will do, but the motion will be difficult. Based on what we end up having, I reserve my judgement if I would ever book a guarantee again. Has anyone been on the ship, waiting to hear where they are on the next leg? Will let you know how it works out.
  6. You may like O so much that paying a bit more wont matter. We also dont drink and dont do tours. No tours because we have been to most places and love to just walk in ports with a map and get lost. But we love O, more than all the other lines we have tried, past and since covid, so because all is will be included now on O, we will try a wine dessert and will also chose a tour in a port we have not done before. We look forward to doing that, But none of that will happen, until mid 2025, as we have 10 O cruises booked until then without the simply more.
  7. what is the tastiest fare you have had on Ember? Please leave out any shellfish.
  8. not a joke....all cruise lines are looking for ways to increase revenue...some using more ridiculous methods than others... C cookies are good though, Os arent.
  9. posting site again...this one may open ... https://www.cruisehive.com/new-charge-spotted-for-cookies-on-celebrity-cruises-ship/109334
  10. and nickel and dimes you for everything else, shuttles, specialty dining, although that is not a nickel or a dime...and now charges you for choc chip cookies...$2.00 plus gratuity... as per cruisehive.com https://www.cruisehive.com/new-charge-spotted-for-cookies-on-celebrity-cruises-ship/109334
  11. Yes if the beverage package was most important to me, I would do the same. To us food, atmosphere, very few to no kids, is what is most important. After 50 cruises with celeb, we will not return, nor will we return to azamara after 2 cruises, nor would we return to Viking after 3. However if the 3 most important issues were to change, we would then have to rethink our choice. We are sailing on the royal Carib Odyssey of the seas, but that's for the little grandkids to enjoy. We will put up with the nightmare so they can enjoy what a ship like that has to offer. By the way, a reg cabin on royal Carib, way more expensive than what we pay on O, and a non refundable deposit. Not just 150pp, but the full amount. Way too soon to write off Oceania.
  12. Ah ok...we wait some more. Thank you for posting.
  13. yes I think that one is easy to get onto the account... I know the answer to this one, but will ask anyway....any chance of applying it on board and getting a refund for what you pain out of pocket?
  14. The tours for our March cruise have come out. We have a ton of OBCs coming our way, but not in the account yet and maybe not for a long time. OBcs for Loyalty, NCL shares, TA, etc. To book a tour now, we have to use our own funds. The OBCs we will receive later are then really wasted. To wait till it all appears on the account, is risking the availability of the preferred tours. Any ideas?
  15. Just like food, humor is subjective. I love British humor, dry, witty. Will only go and see British comedians. Most of what I see people laugh at here are comments used as put downs or criticisms. But back to the topic at hand, much more exciting.
  16. do you see it happening tomorrow? thought that was self explanatory, but again I am wrong...need to be extra specific to be understood... and yet someone found even that funny.....
  17. The original OP said the Allura itins may be out for viewing on Aug 23. Thats tomorrow. Anyone see that happening?
  18. yes will use our FCC, it expires this november and will get a new one while on board... thank you to all...
  19. I like to book at opening prices and have a FCC to use up.
  20. Ok it is not known yet if these are release dates, or booking dates. We will be on the ship sept 7 to 20 and want to take full advantage of the advantages.
  21. very good question... we are on the ship for sept 13, for allura so will book then.... but for the rest we are on the ship again nov 13, so oct 4 is more than 30 days and wont be able to use the 30 day prior rule...
